My guest is Robert Gallardo, a California native who moved to Honduras in 1993 for the Peace Corps and then stayed for the tropical birds. He is now considered the country's leading authority on both birds and butterflies. He leads tours for Naturalist Journeys and Fauna Ventures to Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica and Trinidad & Tobago. Robert is the current President of the Pro Nature Honduras Foundation, a small non-profit which promotes nature-based sustainable tourism and environmental education. He is also the co-founder of the Honduran Ornithological Society. He has authored two editions of the "Guide to the Birds of Honduras." Along with his most recent book: "Guide to the Butterflies of Honduras.”

The Israelites were complaining about what would happen in the future, and they even distorted the events of the past. They were so focused on their problems that they forgot to trust in God. But God showed them His faithfulness by providing for them every day.

In this podcast, we will discuss these important points:

• God provided for the Israelites in the wilderness in a miraculous way. He sent them manna, a bread-like substance that fell from heaven, and quail, a type of bird. The Israelites could eat and survive in the wilderness thanks to God's provision.
• The Israelites' experience in the wilderness teaches us a valuable lesson about trusting in God. When we are faced with challenges, we should remember that God is always with us and He will provide for us. We should also be humble and rely on God for our daily needs.
• Jesus is the ultimate manna. He is the bread of life, and He provides us with everything we need to live a fulfilling life. He is the ultimate source of hope and encouragement, and He can help us to overcome any challenge we face.

The most distinctive characteristic of the California Quail is the black, forward-facing topknot that juts out from its forehead like a small flag. The California Quail – the state bird of California – builds its nest right on the ground. Almost immediately after hatching, the precocial chicks are up and running, following their parents to feed.
