    Billy Pod

    Billy Pod

I'm joined by Greek drummer, now based in London, Billy Pod for the latest episode of Harmonious World.

I've been loving listening to Billy's latest album - Quintessence - and it was a pleasure to chat with him.

Thanks to Billy for allowing me to play extracts from Quintessence alongside our conversation.

Thank you for listening to Harmonious World. Please rate, review and share: click on the link and subscribe to support the show.

Don't forget the Quincy Jones quote that sums up why I do this: "Imagine what a harmonious world it would be if every single person, both young and old, shared a little of what he is good at doing."

    Episode 60. Progressive Rock III

    Episode 60. Progressive Rock III

This is the third installment of our popular Prog rock series, "Progressive Rock III".  The original episode is the third most popular in the show's history and so Prog rock still resonates with listeners today. This is a continuation of bands that came from the golden era of Prog between 1967 to 1975.

». http://www.e-ostadelahi.fr/eoe-fr/la-quintessence-des-religions/

    The Quintessence of Religions

    The Quintessence of Religions
Leili Anvar Ostad Elahi delivered the main thrust of his conception of wisdom in a prayer entitled “The Quintessence of Religions”. Leili Anvar chose this angle to shed some light in a concrete and personal way on some of the subtlest aspects of this thought which, while taking root in the mystical tradition, reverses the prevailing trend by replacing reason at its rightful place in the process of spiritual perfection. The question of evil, the meaning of true ethics and true humanness and the importance of faith are among the themes dealt with in this analysis. Leili Anvar is Lecturer in Persian Literature at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales in Paris and a specialist in mystic poetry. This lecture was given on 10 September 2011 as part of a symposium organised by the Fondation Ostad Elahi around the question “What wisdom for our times?”. http://www.e-ostadelahi.com/eoe-en/the-quintessence-of-religions/
