    Freedom
    1. What’s up players! We have been released from the longest season ever, rejoice!
    2. Question: In light of Tino being caught with his shirt unbuttoned and on his phone…and looking embarrassed. What is the most embarrassing situation anyone has ever walked in on you at?
    3. 2 minute recap.
    4. Concept 1: Tino says he thought their engagement was over, Nicole says that was never the case. What are our thoughts?
      1. Did they do Tino dirty with the Aven thing?
    5. Concept 2: They hoodwinked us with the whole Gabby and her dude. We thought it was going to go south, but they ended up together. Thoughts on their story arc? Will they be together for a long time?
    6. Concept 3: What do we think about Zach as Bachelor?
      1. What was up with Jesse Palmer’s comment at the end, “we hear you bachelor nation and we are listening?”
    7.  Wildcard: Zach, Clayton and Jesse are triplets. And honestly Sean Lowe who I met on Tuesday could be their brother. Why are they so boring with The Bachelor casting. I blame middle America.

"We were on a break!" The Bachelorette Finale

"We were on a break!" The Bachelorette Finale

Kate and Marcie break down (one of?) the most dramatic Bachelorette finales ever!

First off, Kate admits her defeat - Marcie was right about Tino and Kate was wrong. Very wrong. But Rachel is not looking too great either...

Listen in as we compare the Rachel/Tino breakup to the Becca/Arie breakup and discuss Rachel threatening to take her ring off, if one kiss is cheating - or could you work it out if you really wanted to? - and so much more!

Plus, we dig into Gabby and Erich's relationship (will it last? why didn't ABC address certain things? where are they living now?) and the new Bachelor, Zach, who we certainly aren't thrilled with. What a mess of a season...

    3. Two minute recap: Ugh
    4. Concept 1: How is it the finale and I still don’t know the difference between Zach and Erich?
    5. Concept 2: Difference of the Dads. Big Tony is a parody, Patrick is exactly what you would expect Gabby’s dad to be like.
    6. Concept 3: Do you want to be engaged and have a wedding or do you want to be married and have a relationship?

    A wee 4 hours

    A wee 4 hours
    1. Welcome! We come to you ready to chat after only 4 hours of fantasy suites on the Bachelorette this week.
    2. Question: Where are you unwilling to sleep?
    3. Two minute recap: We are reminded, frequently, over the course of Monday and Tuesday night that Rachel and Gabby were hurt by Clayton during the fantasy suite episodes.
      1. First up, Erich and Gabby. They both declare love for each other. Not-a-metaphor of a date, they take a jump into the water. Gabby is scared then eventually jumps. They have a meaningful conversation while the television screen blacks out Gabby’s butt and then they go to the fantasy suite.
      2.  Rachel chooses to start fantasy suites with Aven. Half of her date with Aven is actually an interview between Jesse and Tino about how much Tino can’t handle the idea of Rachel with anyone else. And I guess he should be worried because after the fantasy suite rachel says Aven is the “full package” Twice.
      3. Next we watch Tino and Rachel. They basically avoid talking about the whole his parents situation until dinner. Then he’s like, nah they like you and if we get engaged they will come around. Somehow Rachel’s like that’ll do. Then Tino says I love you and Rachel says I love you too (WHAT!) and they go to their hotel room.
      4. Gabby and Jonny’s day is short. They have fun then Jonny’s like yeah, I’m not really ready to settle down. Gabby walks away to think. Then they break up. Then we see glimpses of Jason saying about the same thing as Jonny. Hold on Gabby…
      5. Then Erich comes in and not knowing that this whole thing is totally unrolling in his favor, he has to go and say i dont know how I feel about you sleeping with other people. Then they pause the episdoe for Tuesday
      6. Night two starts with Gabby and Erich on the bridge. Their conversation ends awkwardly.
      7. Jason and Gabby. They go on a date and it seems to be going well. But Gabby feels like she’s grasping for something that isn’t there and Jason– like what is he doing. Finally he comes clean and explains that he’s not ready for an engagement. Gabby tries hard to make it about the show and him being quiet. They go to the fantasy suite and then wake up in separate rooms. Eventually I guess he realized that he just doesn’t want to relationship with Gabby.
      8. Rachel and Zach. They are super nerdy together and boring. So boring. They go to fantasy suites. It is awkward. Like what happened there. Zach says that she grilled him about being ready and then kept questioning his age.
      9. We see Rachel and her guys getting ready for the rose ceremony. Zach is mad. He pulls her aside. WHAT WILL HAPPEN!
      10. Gabby tells Erich he’s the only one and they say I love you.
      11. Then the weirdest most annoying ending. They just stop the episode and Jesse is all like you need to prepare yourself. Good god. Just shorten the episodes. Get this done in one hour and spare us all.
    4. Concept 1: Was Erich testing Gabby? He knew what he signed up for, are his concerns justified?
    5. Concept 2: Jesse Palmer: Let’s talk about his listening and advice giving skills.
    6. Concept 3: Leading people on. Did Jason lead on Gabby? Did Rachel lead on Zach?
    7. Host 2 wildcard topic: I want one of the guys to decide they want to marry the other principle (so Gabby’s guy decides he wants Rachel/Nicole or vice versa). Would he be in the wrong? In the real world, when has a significant other of a friend crossed from “I could date them” to “I am crossing a friend line?”

Declarations of Love, Fantasy Suites Gone Wrong and A Cup of Joe

Kate and Marcie are back to recap Gabby and Rachel's Fantasy Suites in Mexico!

We start off by discussing the whiplash of switching back and forth between Gabby and Rachel's dates, Tino's red flags and what Erich and Gabby talked about in private that he later brought up in front of the cameras.

Then we get into Jason and Gabby's heartbreaking (and confusing) goodbye. Was Jason in the wrong? Did he know what he was signing up for by going on The Bachelorette?

And of course, we go over what could have gone wrong between Rachel and Zach in the Fantasy Suites. Is Zach telling America Rachel is fake? Was it a political or religious conversation that went wrong?

    3. 2ish minute recap!
    4. Why was there minimal drama on the men tell all? I mean they argued a little, but really it was pretty blah.
    5. What did we think about Nate? He said he didn’t tell previous women about his daughter because he wanted to shield her. THoughts? He also, dip, dodge, ducked, dived, and dodged questions about if he was cheating. Thoughts on his reasoning?
    6. Mario seemed to think that Gabby did him dirty. What are our thoughts on how Gabby broke stuff off with Mario? Should she have done it a different way?

    Two Ettes
    1. Welcome! Our school year started and It’s hooooometowns!
    2. Question: The episode begins in NOLA! What is your must have food item from NOLA?
    3. Two minute recap: Gabby and Jason go to NOLA. He introduces Gabby to his dad who is adorable and weepy and I love him. Then he meets  more of his family and they love Gabby. Then Jason drops that he can’t see himself getting engaged. The memes are coming from him. Normal? Honest? Dude, do you know what show you are on? Side note: I love how his parents are like, get engaged and later on we get, well, the opposite. Next up is Rachel and Zach in Anaheim. All this plane stuff: yo, it is so weird to me that there all these work themes dates. Its like when you dream about working. No. This is a date, I’m not clocking in. Zach’s family is a little more reserved about the Bachelorette process and asked some pointed questions. Then they watch videos of Zach and Rachel making out. Weird right? Next in line is Gabby and Jonny in Palm Beach. Y’all I’ve lived in all these placesJonny’s family is pretty; they have a white couch- which I apparently think makes you rich. They like Gabby. And, of course, Jonny isn’t ready for a proposal either. His dad says, go for it. Poor Gabby gets  I’m not ready for a proposal and people are declaring their love for Nicole. What gives?. So Gabby and Johnny makeout on a sunset cruise. Wasn’t he just living on a cruise ship? Next, Rachel and Tyler head to Wildwood, NJ. I’ve never lived here. Fun side note, they haven’t had a one-on-one yet. Tyler is hyped. He is playful. A kid on the raddest playground. But Rachel is “it is getting serious.” Tyler says he is in love. Rachel is like,  whoah dawg I’m not sure i want to meet your family. Tyler has to tell his family on camera that he got dumped. Dang. These producers work hard.  After that we need something happy, right? So here comes Gabby and Erich off to visit his terminal ill father. As an ICU nurse, Gabby handled  things well but  dang that is a big thing to walk into. Erich tells Gabby he is  falling in love with her. Finally.  Confession,  his name is spelled stupid and so is his hair but I find him attractive. Hate me.  The final hometown is Rachel and Tino. It should be  perfect given their connection  right? Nope his family is not on board with this. Yiikes. Rachel is obs upset. Can it work now with  her beloved Tino!
    4. Concept 1: Do you think you would be a “support whatever decision you make” parent or a “this is big and  this show is weird, run!” parent? Does the approach family’s take matter?
    5. Concept 2: What to do when someone says “I love you” and you just ain’t there.
    6. Concept 3:  Whoa did you see that preview? No Gabby.  What are your predictions?
    7. Host 2 wildcard topic: What is the appropriate amount of time to wait until getting engaged?

    3. Breakdown, bros!
    4. Gabby seems at crossroads on if she wants to have children. Obviously, dating Nate would mean she would have a bonus child to start. What do we think about having to make that decision early on? Do you need to know right away, can you wait and decide as you keep going?
    5. Tino really seemed to think he deserved the rose for his performance. Lets on pack that.
      1. Did he?
      2. Does anyone deserve anything because they do something on a date?
      3. What is the one thing someone could do on a date that would make you give them the rose and end the show?

    Fish Slaps!
    1. Welcome!
    2. Question: what music orchestration would you want playing in the background while you share your childhood story/traumas
    3. Two minute recap: There was crying. There was a big shirtless guy slapping faces with fish. There was more crying. There was a beer bath. And there was freezing on the deck of a (ghost?) ship.
    4. Concept 1: When things get hard. Rachel tends to peace out when things are hard/challenging. Should you want to marry someone who, every time things get hard, she’s out?
    5. Concept 2: Is this the most realistic dating ever seen on the show? Because both have the option to change/reject. And Rachel is mad that Gabby kept Logan, but she did the same thing when she kept Hayden…
    6. Concept 3: Zodiac relationship matches. Real or no?

    Kombucha & Spring Rolls

    Kombucha & Spring Rolls
    1. Welcome! It is August, which is a time of mourning for all who work in education. But for Bachedemia, August is hot and things are heating up on the season. But before we jump into this week’s episode..
    2. Question: If you were a food, what type of food would you be?
    3. Two minute recap: They foreshadow troubles with Hayden. He claims Gabby called herself rough around the edges so it  was fair game for him to say the same. Idiot!  They learn they are going to Paris and I guess staying on a cruise ship once they arrive. At first I was like,  omg are they trying to save money and making them go   overseas  on a boat.  Woof. Once  they arrive they get one on ones: Jason/
Gabby and Tino/Rachel. They make crepes and try on barets and Americans are once again assholes for how we stereotype other countries. Dates seem to be going along well enough, they bring Gabby and Rachel together to swoon and then move to the serious evening portion of the dates. Tino and Rachel discuss career and family goals. It is clear Rachel is ready to marry Tino. I think they are both boring. Gabby and Jason connect over difficult childhoods and their appreciation for therapy. We will get to this later. Gabby seems pretty into Jason. Next, they move onto the  group date, which is technically for Gabby i think but they made it all about Rachel. We get a bachelor favorite: let’s have contestants fight for love. More on that later.  Gabby give spencer  the  rrose. Snooze fest. Rachel feels ignored by her guys and comes unraveled. Meanwhile, Logan is losing it and realizes he’s really there for Gabby– which he has to know isn’t going to end well. But I guess after this episode we will need a new villain. Rachel tells the guys to step it up. Its awkward. So producers smoooth things out by having Rachel smell their armpits on the group date the next day. Good lord. Tyler gets the rose and they connect over poetry. Bill’s favoorite. The cocktail party is all about Logan and Hayden. Hayden loves his dog rambo and it feels like he’s trying to guilt Rachel into keeping him because he sacrificed a lot to be here. He’s like a real loser. She sends him home. Logan accepts a rose. He’s in a heck of a position. So let’s talk about this disaster.
    4. Concept 1: “Fighting for love” What’s with violent metaphors and romance? Rachel and Tino are both excited and scared by how fast things are moving. Gabby and Jason connect over difficult childhoods and their appreciation for good therapy. They seriously geek out about “Inner child work.” This was a great boost for Bill’s counseling program! Go UNI counseling. (Gabby’s mom talks back. Unless you are saving this for the wildcard).
    5. Concept 2: “They weren’t paying attention to me!” Are Gabby and Rachel particularly fragile or is something else going on this season?
    6. Concept 3: Puppy Love, Hayden. How can a person be such an asshole but love his dog so much?
    7. Host 2 wildcard topic: Gabby’s mom talks back. Unless you are saving this for the wildcard
