Episode 104 - Sovereign Home Birth After C-Section and Pregnancy Loss - with Daniella

In this weeks episode, Daniella shares her story of  an incredibly traumatic c-section with her first child, the two miscarriages that followed and then her reasons behind deciding to have a home VBAC when she became pregnant again.

This heartwarming story is one that so many of you may relate to. Daniella tells of how the work she did to learn as much as she could in preparation for this recent birth, is what made the difference and helped her to succeed.

The trust she built in her capability, and the way she strongly advocated for what she wanted despite pushback from the maternity services, enabled her to get the support she deserved.

This is a fabulous story that you can share far and wide to help others learn the tips that Daniella has to offer.

HOW... Does an IVF Journey Look?

HOW... Does an IVF Journey Look?

Brody bravely opens up about his and Holly's journey with infertility and what led them to IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). He talks about what IVF is, the costs, the hormones, the side effects, the mental load of such a journey and what he did and did not expect from this all-consuming time of life.

While many routes of IVF exist, we focus on the IVF journey of those who have unexplained infertility: "When infertile couples or individuals have undergone all appropriate tests and no cause for their infertility is found". So while some couples may not have viable sperm or eggs to contribute to IVF, this episode discusses the journey a couple may experience if you do have those two components to contribute but still struggle to conceive.

So many couples lives are upended by infertility. It is invasive and emotional and all-consuming of your time, energy and physical and emotional health. So take a listen and see what Brody has to say about staying hopeful through a decade of trying to conceive and how to keep your relationship strong as well.

To those trying to conceive...baby dust! We hope you get your rainbow baby!

Endometriosis, Miscarriage & Menopause - Kym Phillips

Endometriosis, Miscarriage & Menopause - Kym Phillips

In this episode we chat to the fabulous Kym about her journey from her 30's to where she is now at 52. Kym miraculously naturally conceived her first child without knowing she had any hormonal imbalances or conditions and it was only when her and her Husband wanted to try for their second child and experiencing 3 tragic miscarriages, that they realized something was going on.

Kym opens up beautifully and speaks about the heartache of the loss of the children for both her and her husband, the struggles she faced with the medical system to start and how they managed to overcome it through marriage/couple counseling and we discuss how little information and support there really was (and still is) when she was going through this.

Incredibly Kym was able to manage and keep common symptoms associated with endometriosis of severe pain and discomfort at bay without even knowing it by the lifestyle she led and incorporating movement and healthy eating.

We jump forward to today where keeping up with the above, with a little help from Happy Hormones, Kym breezed through menopause and is feeling incredible in her body in her 50s.

There is so much to take from this episode and we hope that this will help other women feel that they are not alone, that there is an invisible, sacred support circle of women who have carried these burdens and that it is possible to overcome them.

Infertility, Loss, IVF & Not Losing Hope with Daniella Power

After an emotionally painful 3.5 years of trying to get pregnant, Daniella and her husband were finally blessed with a beautiful baby boy. However, the road to get there was not an easy one. For years, Daniella learned the true meaning behind the saying, “comparison is the thief of joy” as she watched those around her get pregnant while also posting their pregnancy announcements and pictures of their growing families on social media. “What’s wrong with me? Why isn’t my body doing what it’s supposed to do?” were questions Daniella ruminated over for years. Then one day, Daniella receives a phone call she never thought she’d get. “Infertile, stage 4, endometriosis” was all she heard. In this episode, Daniella gets vulnerable and shares everything about her pregnancy journey from infertility, to loss, to IVF, to finally having a successful pregnancy. Daniella and her husband are a loving, supportive, and communicative team that never lost hope and continued going after the life they so desperately wanted. Listen and share with family and friends.

If you are experiencing infertility or loss and you need guidance, help, and support, speak with your primary care physician. Also, seek out resources like www.resolve.org, The National Infertility Association where you can find help such as support groups in your area.

No I'm NOT OK, But Thanks For Asking with Loreigna Martin

No I'm NOT OK, But Thanks For Asking with Loreigna Martin

Welcome to Season 2 of that Infertility Chic.

During this season, we will be joined by some of the amazing women, I've met in the Daughters of Hannah Support group.  Meeting some of these women has encouraged me and made me wish I had this support 10 plus years ago when I realized I was IN a journey. The theme is, "You Matter. Your Life Matters. Your Story Matters.

What I know is I am glad they exist now and I know the women in that group are blessed to have support.

On today's episode you will meet Loreigna Martin. Loreigna is an incredible young woman whose story was an encouragement to my soul. I had a great time laughing AND crying with Loreigna and I think you will feel that as you listen in.

Loreigna's story will resound with so many women and couples and I cannot wait to see what God does in her life as she stays in pursuit.
