Why Rapid Release Authors Should Hire a PA Early in Their Author Career

Why Rapid Release Authors Should Hire a PA Early in Their Author Career
Authors are notorious for being introverts and lone wolves. Often, this mentality can make reaching success in their author careers much harder than it needs to be. On the other hand, sometimes it's really just hard to ask for help. However, as a rapid-release author, there's often too much for one person to take on. So what's an author to do? Hire a PA, of course! In today's episode, I'm talking about all the ways a personal assistant can help an author free up time, expand their reach, and earn more. Click here to have a listen! Deviating from the Plan: Is it Ever Okay to Cancel or Postpone Launches?

Deviating from the Plan: Is it Ever Okay to Cancel or Postpone Launches?
Fear can get in the way of a lot of things. For example, it can keep you from reaching your true potential and getting your books out there. Maybe you don't put books up on preorder or launch them as fast as you could. But what happens when you make those plans with the best intentions, only to have something fall through? In today's podcast episode, I'll be discussing the topic many authors are afraid of - postponing or canceling a launch. Is there ever a time when this is okay? Or should you force yourself through just to appease your readers? Find out my take on this subject by having a listen. Be sure to check out the show notes by going to authorrevolution.org/73.

How to Leverage a 6-Week Writing Sprint

How to Leverage a 6-Week Writing Sprint
Almost everyone knows what a writing sprint is. Generally, it's where you set a timer and write for an allotted time. Most often 15 or 20 minutes. However, at Author Revolution, we like to leverage a 6-week writing sprint to hammer out a clean, but completed, first draft. Think of it like NaNoWriMo - but implemented whenever and way more sustainable. In today's podcast episode, we're going to talk about why a 6-week writing sprint is super effective, plus how to implement it into your 2021 writing process. If you're looking for how to make the magic of rapid releasing work for you... you won't want to miss this episode! Be sure to check out the show notes by going to authorrevolution.org/66.

    Sequels : Kelly Fox Returns

    Sequels : Kelly Fox Returns

I interviewed Kelly Fox at the start of the year, January 2020, when she made a goal to write and rapid release three books in a new series.

Ep 14 - Introducing Kelly Fox

She’s back to give us an update!

I interview a lot of more established authors on this show, but I also want to discover up and coming new talent for those of you who are readers.

And for those of you who are also new authors, I thought it would be cool to track the career of someone just starting to grow her author business.

Kelly Fox is a corporate training manager by day and author of contemporary gay romance by night. She curses too much, drinks exactly the right amount of red wine, and sleeps way too little. She's also lucky enough to live in Central Texas with her wife and three dogs, where the astonishing diversity of humans and landscapes and tattoo shops serve as her muse.

Can a Rapid Released Novel Be Any Good?

Can a Rapid Released Novel Be Any Good?
Have you ever wondered whether or not a book that's written and published quickly can be any good? Have you been letting this thought hold you back from finishing your book and getting it out into the world? In today's podcast episode, I have a special guest joining me to talk about this idea. Colin Andrews is not only my husband, but he's also a writer. In fact, it's how we met. Together, we discuss what makes a good story and if rapid releasing can still mean good fiction.
