Acknowledging The Problem: Farming God's Way Radio Series, Episode 4

One of the most influential group of people in my life have been those from Foundations for Farming, formerly known as Farming God's Way*, a farming ministry based out of Zimbabwe. I have been blessed to obtain permission to share with you some of the episodes from a radio series they did several years back that originally aired on Trans World Radio. I hope you are challenged and encouraged!

If you would like to support what Foundations for Farming is doing in Zimbabwe to help the poor, check out I Was Hungry, a partnership with Crown Financial Ministries where they conduct a program to disciple 30 people from a community for 2 weeks in faith, farming, finance, and family. My family and I support this ministry each month and encourage you to consider doing so as a great way to support a real solution to hunger.

If you would like to learn more about some of the techniques that Foundations for Farming teaches we have some training videos available at Redeeming the Dirt Academy.

(*For clarification some of the original Farming God's Way team continues to do amazing work under the old name and operate independently from the Foundations for Farming team. Both have the same heart and teach the same basic material.)

#11: The Root of Brokenness in Agriculture

As we seek to redeem the dirt, it is good to honestly look at some of the brokenness we see in modern agriculture. In this episode I am joined by my friend Micah as we discuss the root of the problems we see and how we as Christians should respond.

#8: How Does a Biblical Perspective Affect Agriculture?

#8: How Does a Biblical Perspective Affect Agriculture?

The Bible isn't a typical "How to Farm" book, so if we believe in the truths of the Bible, how does this impact our view of agriculture? In this episode I do my first solo chat, talking about our farm and some of the projects we have going on before sharing some of my thoughts about the impact of the Bible on my farm.

#7: Grace Over Grind, Avoiding Burnout on the Farm through the Presence of God: Interview with Shae Bynes

As we try to faithfully steward the land how do we avoid burnout as Christian farmers? How do we depend on God's grace, rather than our own strength?

In Episode 7 of the Redeeming the Dirt Podcast I share part 2 of my interview with Shae Bynes of Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur. Even though she is not a farmer, she has a lot of insights from her work encouraging Christians in business. I believe you will find this episode helpful, encouraging, and challenging whether you have a farming business or just grow food for yourself.

You can learn more about her and the Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur team at her website.
