In this final episode, Arnie and Fred begin by discussing the relationship of the blood of Christ and sanctification and what that means. The New Covenant, remission of sins and amnesty are part of this discussion, and we look at a number of passages that include these words. We look at a reference to the everlasting covenant and how the blood of Christ is connected with that to include perfection and how God is pleased with this. Peter notes that the blood of Christ is also connected to election, foreknowledge, as well as obedience and again, sanctification. We discuss this. We look at John's reference to cleansing of each saint and what is related to that. John in Revelation refers to the blood of Christ a number of times. What Does the Bible Say About the Blood of Christ #2?

In this second episode about Jesus' blood, we begin by noting that Paul states that those who treat His blood irreverently are condemned. We next look at what Paul tells the Ephesians, specifically that they enjoy redemption, forgiveness of sins and the benefit of God's grace because of Jesus' blood. We discuss these terms. We note that the Hebrew writer mentions eternal redemption and one's conscience and we note how these subjects are connected with the blood of Christ. Peter also mentions the redeeming power of Jesus' blood as does Paul, and we talk about that. Paul is very specific about the condition the Gentiles found themselves in relating to God and how Jesus was responsible for their salvation. We complete this episode by looking at what the Hebrew writer said about the blood sacrifices in the Old Testament and Jesus' sacrifice in the New. Psalm 103 [Praise - Bless the Lord] [Rod Ohmes] - Audio

The author of Psalm 103 is preaching a specific message to himself here: “Bless the Lord, O my soul…” No matter the circumstance, bless the Lord. The God of the OT is the same God of the NT and He’s the same God today. He is a God of compassion, justice, grace, truth, mercy, and love. He does not deal with according to our sins, or treat us as we deserve (thankfully!). But we need to remember this truth: God only forgives sins by grace through faith in Christ alone. That’s how He forgives, heals, redeems, crowns, & satisfies - in Christ alone.
