#786 Re_Open UK. Jest KASA dla polskich firm za BREXIT!
BREXIT!

    A jednak JEST!

O programie Re_Open UK rozmawiam z Grzegorzem Grodkiem z Łódzkiej Specjalnej Strefy Ekonomicznej.

Episode 13: Bowen Turner - A Privileged Serial Rapist?

Episode 13: Bowen Turner - A Privileged Serial Rapist?
In 2018, Bowen Turner from Orangeburg, South Carolina would be accused of raping two young women and in 2019, Bowen would be accused of rape once again. This would spark outrage in the community but not for the victims, instead it was for the accused because Bowen comes from a prominent family in Orangeburg.

Bowen would attack his first victim early in 2018 and a short six months later, he would allegedly assault Dallas Stoller at a house party. Dallas would endure the wrath of the community’s anger towards her for naming Bowen as her attacker. Her story is devastating and does not end they way you would hope.

Chloe Bess is the last victim of Bowen’s, and her assault has many similarities to Dallas’s story. Chloe would also be attacked at a house party in June of 2019 and would also name Bowen as her attacker but did his victims get justice?

Bowen would allude a trial and barely get a slap on the wrist. How can an alleged serial rapist not wind up in prison? How is he still on the streets? Listen to Sam tell the story of a grave misjustice happening in Orangeburg South Carolina and we will leave it to you to decide if you think if Bowen Turner is a privileged serial rapist.

How Toronto is using ‘playbooks’ and vaccines to reopen

How Toronto is using ‘playbooks’ and vaccines to reopen

Guest: Jennifer Pagliaro, Toronto city hall reporter for the Star

Toronto continues to reopen alongside the staged plan created by the Ontario government. How we progress and when reopening happens depends on many factors: vaccination rates, case numbers and other public health data. But the City of Toronto is getting ready with a ‘playbook’ plan for businesses, twinned with a renewed push for vaccinations in the city’s marginalized communities. Today’s episode takes a look into the reopening plans in the months ahead, with a sense of when Toronto will become a thriving city again.

EP 23 - The “First” Day Of School

EP 23 - The “First” Day Of School
In his inaugural address, President Biden talked about “teach[ing] our students in safe schools,” and while making schools safer places for children to learn and grow has been a priority in the United States for decades, the new president’s words loom very large at a time when many public schools across the country have been shuttered for nearly a year. This week, the CDC published an article that says that evidence suggests that opening many schools safely for in-person instruction is possible. Today, we discuss what it’s like to be at the heart of this national discussion, as we talk about what it’s like to get ready for the first day of school and ask: Welcome back to class, where would you like to begin?
