Winning the War Within (Steps to Freedom)

Winning the War Within (Steps to Freedom)

In this weeks Message Pastor Allison talks to us about How to walk out the Steps to Freedom and what that looks like. When we walk out these steps to Freedom, We need to do it with humility.

There are 8 R's that make it easier to understand how to walk out the Steps to Freedom, The are really like a walking out of the process of Sanctification.

    These are the 8 R's
Recognize, Responsibility, Repent, Renounce, Remove, Rejoice, Replace, Restore.

    Fixing Your Windshield

    Fixing Your Windshield

Last year we got a crack in the windshield of our 2018 Honda Odyssey. We had months to fix it, but didn't. This Spring, that little crack became a massive one that ran all the way across the driver's sight line!  At that point, we had no choice. But we also had not options. It had to be replaced and the cost was HUGE. I sure wish we would have addressed that earlier, for FREE!

Lots of cracks, chips, little problems pop up in our lives. If they are on the passenger's side, we tend to forget about them. But they usually don't go away on their own. They grow under severe climate changes! And most of the time we wish we would have taken care of them much earlier, before they became such a big and costly deal.  Let's talk about that!

    - Why are windshields free to repair and $1400 to replace?

    - Why do we wait to fix them when the above answer is so clear and known?

    - How do we sometimes make this same mistake in our personal lives?

    - What is the power of Early + Often = Less

    - How can we apply all of this to Faith, Friendship, Fitness and Finances?

EP 41 How to Control our Thought Life - Kasey Price

EP 41 How to Control our Thought Life - Kasey Price

Kasey Price talks with Sheryl Kloehr on what it means to ‘take your thoughts captive’.  With the unknowns of this season, the Bible gives encouragement and hope. Kasey reminds us that (2 Corinthians 10:5) we have an active role to play in guarding our thoughts against lies  that go against God's plans. Knowing your worth in Christ can shut down the lies. Give yourself grace and forgiveness.

    UnpublishedCafe for May 11 2018 - NAFTA

    PUBLISHED: 05/11/2018

Today on Unpublished Cafe we talk about how the North American Free Trade Agreement has been a political football for many politicians, in particular US presidents, as we have seen since Donald Trump entered the presidential race in 2015. While he decries the deal as unfair to Americans, the agreement has accomplished it's seven goals.

To get an idea how much this means to all North Americans, in 2016, trilateral trade reached nearly USD $1 trillion – more than a three-fold increase since 1993. 400,000 people and over $2.4 billion worth of goods and services cross the Canada–U.S. border daily. Since 1993, Mexico-Canada merchandise trade grew nine-fold, while services trade has increased six-fold.

This episode of Unpublished Cafe includes talks with Scott Sinclair a senior economics researcher with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. We talk with Matthew Stewart, Director of National Forecasting, at the Conference Board of Canada who authored a report on the fall out. And we also go south of the border to talk with Jamie McInerney, Executive Director of the Trade Leadership Coalition.

    Face/On

    Face/On

Last month, Motherboard reported on a Redditor using deep learning technology to map female celebrities’ faces onto pornographic performers, with startlingly lifelike results. By scanning a bunch of images of a celebrity’s face, the software was able to imagine what they’d look like grafted into a given video—a powerful technology being used in one of the worst possible ways. The technology also opens up the door to a very near future in which we won’t be able to trust video evidence—long the gold standard, at least in the court of public opinion. Someone decided to use this technology for it's absolute worst use: superimposing Nicholas Cage into every film ever made. Jeff and Anthony Face Off in their greatest Cage match yet.

Hello, My Name Is Anxiety - The Truth About Risk

Hello, My Name Is Anxiety - The Truth About Risk
Few words buzz more than the word anxiety. Rarely used ten years ago, today anxiety is common place in the English lexicon. But why? Why does anxiety so efficiently capture our struggles? What role do our thoughts play in our anxiety? From this question, we can begin to explore what happens when we learn to monitor our thoughts in order to reject what is toxic and more fully dwell on what is helpful. What if anxiety isn't a new phenomenon? What if dealing with dread is as old as the human experience? What if those of us who struggle mightily with anxiety have failed to develop certain skills that promote thriving? The truth about risk.

    #247 Repeal and Replace

Barry Nussbaum with Dr. Gina on America Trends discussing Obama care and the GOP repeal and replace.

The American Truth Project, a non-profit (501c3) organization was launched because America’s national security is being threatened as never before. Our republic and the rights guaranteed by our constitution are facing dangerous new enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Our solution is to educate the public on the truths regarding critical security risks facing America, as well as our most strategic ally, Israel. There are few quality sources dedicated to this purpose.

Our team will investigate and reveal the factual nature and magnitude of these threats, and the best ways to address them. We, the people, have the right to know the truth. ATP is here to tell it.
