Hello family, I love our church. When we get together on Sunday to worship Jesus, the gathering creates a beauty that can't be duplicated or replaced. We've started a brand-new series called "Besetting Sins," talking about those behaviors that make us fall again and again and leave us crying in sadness and frustration. In our series, we've been discussing the strategy for how to defeat these sins. In week 1 we gave a layout of the series, on week 2 we talked about how to AVOID whatever situations tend to lead us toward our sins, and last week we talked about literally saying NO to the actions that harm us. You do not want to miss this week as we talk about a key component to overcome our hangups, our sins, our defects that hold us in a painful place.

In our series "The Way of Love" we've come to realize that Jesus lavishes more love upon us than it's possible to hold. What are we supposed to do with the overflow? This week we'll hear how Christ challenges us to take that extra and use it to change our lives and the lives of others.

Our "GHOST" continues we'll learn how the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to express to others how Jesus has changed our lives. Don't you know someone who needs to hear what trusting in Christ has done for you? Those who are struggling with sin in their lives, or who desperately need hope and something to believe in? The Holy Spirit does not allow us to be tongue-tied in the presence of those who need to hear our story. Come this Sunday to hear about the power that lives in each one of us to speak up for Christ's sake. Our speaker will be one of our favorite visiting pastors, Drew Hyun.

Pastor Ray, delivered a powerful message about arming ourselves against the powers of darkness. Danger can come upon us in many forms, often ones that seem innocent and even good for us. God's word in the Bible gives us a heads-up about recognizing those sneak attacks.

We're closing out our series on "5 Easy Ways to Wreck Your Life" with an important message on everybody's favorite topic--DEBT. Why does it seem so easy to get into debt, get into fights, get into trouble over money? Can being a Christian help us manage our finances? Listen in as Pastor Edwin teaches us God's word

One of the easiest things to do in life is lose your faith. It's something that doesn't need to be taught, or much of anything to set it off. It happens without us trying, because the tendency of the human heart is to stray away from God, not run toward him. It's also one of the most painful things that we can see happen--people walking away to the detriment of their children, their family, and their souls. I can't tell you how many times I've heard this from Christians who desire to be faithful but feel their energy, strength, and moral fortitude failing them. That's because they're trying to do things on their own--but God never meant us to grow, mature, or change in isolation. God uses others to help us to change. If we're going to change our affections, if we're going to reject sin and receive the new life in Christ, it's going to be as part of a community.

The end of the year can be a time of thinking back. What did we accomplish this year? What barriers did we overcome? What blessings did we receive? It's also a time to look forward. How can I grow next year? What new steps can I take? How can I bless others? In this final week of our series called The Waiting Room, we'll talk about how sometimes it's hard to see beyond our current situation because our circumstances are so overwhelming. But when we can't look beyond our own pain, our stuff takes on a life of its own and becomes bigger than God. Come this Sunday to learn how NOT to let depression and bitterness set in.

Sometimes we just need to be reminded that God really does know what's going on in our lives, that he cares about us, that he can be our strength when we have no strength. This week we'll be talking about how he's not just aware of what's happening in our situation, he's working behind the scenes in ways we can't imagine. Understanding this truth can make a huge difference to your time in waiting.

Why would God want us to go through painful situations? That's what we'll come to understand this week. In the meantime, pray for others who are currently stuck in their own version of The Waiting Room.
