Dermatophytosis can be a frustrating disease process. There are many different diagnostic tests and treatment options. This episode reviews "Diagnosis and treatment of dermatophytosis in dogs and cats: clinical consensus guidelines of the World Association for Veterinary Dermatology". Dermatophytosis- one of the great imitators. Though, "classically" people think dermatophytosis should appear as a circular lesion, it usually doesn't. It can appear as erythema, scaling, crusting, ulceration, focal kerion, etc. It can really look like anything!
