It is not often that you meet a young racer who competes in a series such as the US F4 Championship Series who got there without a single bit of prior competitive motorsports experience. Tyke Durst is an overcomer, and a sharp-minded Engineering student at UNC-Charlotte. His story begins with a spark driven by a TV show, heats up with track time at Skip Barber Racing School and continues with a highly improbable shot at the first rung on the ladder toward F1.
