That's right the legendary Jerry Cantrell, guitarist for Alice in Chains is back for more on Cutter's Rockcast. We got in a quick conversation about his new solo album 'Brighten' before I had to leave and get to my son's karate graduation.

Mastodon have officially released their highly anticipated new double album 'Hushed and Grim.' Yes, we said double album. An album that was largely influenced by the unfortunate passing of Mastodon's manager Nick John. As the single "Teardrinker" starts rising up the rock radio charts and the new album is now being ingested by Mastodon fans worldwide, it's time to go in-depth one of the most in-depth albums we've heard in a long time. Singer, bassist Troy Sanders of Mastodon sit's down with Cutter.

Nathan Hunt is the lead singer of the band Shaman's Harvest. A band who put out their first music when it was still the 20th century, not the 21st. In other words, they've been at a long time. A few years ago they really struck gold and broke through with the song "In Chains" and their amazing cover of the song "Dirty Diana." Now with the release of their latest single "Voices" they're ready to be back. Maybe we can find out when there's more coming!

Dustin Kensrue is back! Dustin is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Thrice. Thrice just released not one, but two new songs and announced their new album 'Horizons East' due out digitally in September and physically in October. This will be Thrice's 11th studio album, plus this time around they did it all themselves in a studio they built during the pandemic.

The legendary Alice Cooper just released his 28th studio album 'Detroit Stories.' Yes, I said 28th studio album. The album was recorded back in his hometown of Detroit with almost exclusively Detroit musicians. The stories are in abundance in this conversation with one of the original rock stars.

You may remember singer Brandon Saller joined Kaytie and I awhile back to go through the process of Brandon becoming the lead singer instead of drummer/singer for Atreyu. The results of that move is now upon us with their latest album. Featuring a genuine hit song with "Warrior" and guests like Travis Barker and Matt Heafy it's a pretty fantastic record. Oh and they are surprising us with an acoustic performance.

He's the lead singer for Slash's band and he's the lead singer of Alter Bridge. Singing for two of the best guitarists in the world. Myles Kennedy though is a hell of a guitarist/musician himself and he's proving it on his new solo album 'The Ides of March' which is now available everywhere. With a new album plus some live shows on the horizon Myles joins us via Zoom from his home in Spokane, Washington.

Andy Biersack is the lead singer of the band Black Veil Brides. Over the past decade or so Black Veil Brides have amassed a giant hard core following and for good reason. You know Corey Taylor as the lead singer of Slipknot. Also as the lead singer of Stone Sour. Also has an accomplished author. Just cause now he's a solo artist too. Last fall he put out his debut solo album entitled 'CMFT' I think you can figure out what that stands for. Now it's time to get into it further with the one and only Corey Taylor.

Matt Brandyberry is one of the founding members of the band From Ashes to New. On the cusp of their 3rd album 'Panic' coming out (Auguest 28th) plus the title track now being a top 15 song in the world of mainstream rock, it was time to catch up. Joining me from his home with his Philadelphia Eagles cup next to him at all times we catch up on the band, on some personal stuff and even make it through a lost connection and a private investigator.

Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless joined Kaytie and I from quarantine to talk about this new song "Death by Rock and Roll" which is the title track of a new album coming later this year. We also get a glimpse into the life of Taylor and just how important it was to work with Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil of Soundgarden on this new album. Oh and we learn of another special guest. This is mental health awareness and Taylor has some good words to say to anyone who is struggling.

Volbeat bass player Kasper Boye Larsen joined the band in 2016, but as he tells us here he's been around the band since their inception. Calling in from his home in the country of Denmark we get into this, the new record, what's going on with touring plans and so much more.

Sean Dowdell is the drummer and founding member of the band Grey Daze. A band that rose to popularity in the late 90's before disbanding in 1998. You care because that have re-recorded a bunch of songs for a new album called 'Amends' due out on June 26th. Oh and the lead singer of this band was Chester Bennington.

Ahead of a stop in Oshkosh, WI on Sunday December 8th, drummer Sam Loeffler of Chevelle checked in with me. Chevelle have been working on what will be their 10th album, but there's been some changes. Long time bassist and Loeffler brother in law Dean Bernardini is leaving the band to stay home with his family. What's up with their label situation? Are they still on Epic Records? And how do you remember over 100 songs without using cheats? All these questions are answered and more with our old friend Sam Loeffler.

Kaytie and I caught up with Josh Katz, the lead singer of Badflower backstage once again at the historic Rave/Eagle's Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI. Everything from Josh being a child actor in commercials to this headlining tour they are currently on. This conversation even happened on a pile of pillows. You just never know what's going to happen when you get Kaytie and I in the same room with a rockstar, especially one we've been following since the beginning.

So my own band Hot Carl opened up for New Years Day. After we both had played I had to take advantage and have a quick backstage conversation with lead singer Ash Costello. We talked of course about their new album Unbreakable, their new song "Come For Me," Our love for Pantera and metal.

The band Messer have been grinding it out for the past few years and are now starting to see some success.
