    Space Exploration

Space exploration has led to greater understanding of the planet Earth, our Solar System and our place in the universe, but there’s still much to be discovered. To help uncover some of the greatest cosmic mysteries, space agencies around the world are planning missions to explore neighbouring planets to map their history and search for possible signs of past extraterrestrial life.

    A new year to forget

    A new year to forget

Max and Mets are joined by Ollie Louch to pick over Ben Garners first three games in charge.

Garners first game was a disappointing home loss against Wimbledon, followed by a decent point away at Fleetwood. The Gas then went down 3-0 in a very leggy performance at stadium MK on new years day.

They go over the performances, JCHs increasing frustration, Jordi's chance to stake a claim to the number 1 jersey and if we have been punching above our weight up to now.

They then look at potential ins and outs now that the transfer window is open. Can Garner use his contacts to add new faces to a threadbare squad?

Max also reflects on Rovers' time in the National League, and draws comparisons in Bromley's season to Darrell Clarke's 2014/15 playoff winning campaign.

    Alex Rodman and Luke Leahy

    Alex Rodman and Luke Leahy

As this is the beginning of In Close Quarters, it felt fitting to talk in-depth about the start of both Leahy and Rodman's careers, having both made their name playing non-league football, but with vastly different routes through the game. We also spoke about Rodman's business-centred family, his love for golf, and his time with an awful haircut. Luke Leahy reflected on his time as Falkirk, how his move to Rovers materialised and how he became a left-back.

    Gas Leak

    Gas Leak

On this week's GasCast Max and Mets are joined by Rovers' PA Lance Cook. They discuss the recent rumours of a second consortium, and a mystery leak behind the scenes at Rovers working against the club.

They talk about an impressive 1-0 win against MK Dons, which saw Rovers go from strength to strength and climb to 4th in the league. Lance is impressed with the solidarity of the back 5, whilst Max looks to Liam Sercombe to add more goals in the absence of Jonson Clarke-Harris.

They also talk about Lance's time as stadium announcer, how he's found stepping into Nick Day's shoes, and the challenges he's faced in the job.

The player spotlight this week is Tyler Smith, and the lads also look ahead to the Doncaster game with some well-deserved optimism.

    Nichols Island

    Nichols Island

On this week's GasCast, Max and Mets are joined by James Piercy from the Bristol Post.

They start with some in depth talk about the takeover story, which the Post broke a few weeks ago, and discuss when Rovers fans can expect to hear more news.

There's lot of talk about the new 3-5-2 formation which has seen Rovers pick up several impressive home wins and gained more support for manager Graham Coughlan. The talismanic Josh Hare, calming influence of Tony Craig, and scapegoat turned superstar Ed Upson are the main points of discussion in this weeks team review.

The lads also talk about Matty Taylor's greatly anticipated return to the Memorial Stadium, and Mets doesn't hold back on his thoughts on the Snake.

The player in focus this week is Tom Nichols, and Max is fully back on the bandwagon.
