    Mary Tells Her Story

    Mary Tells Her Story

Today we talk about the book, “Mary Tells Her Story,” The True Founder of Yeshua’s House, by Mary Faletic Bollman. In this story we learn of a volatile domestic violence situation that came to a head in 1917.

As one review says, it is “a moving story of resilience and generosity born of hardship and concern for others. The youngest child eventually provided the funding needed for her granddaughter, Angela, to open Yeshua’s House. Yeshua’s House is a faith-based non-profit safe haven for women and their children coming from domestic violence and/or financial hardship.

As a previous Board member for four years and currently on the Advisory Committee, I can attest to the diligence of Angela B Brown and her husband, Moses Brown in helping women and families.

    Abuse Survivor: Finding Refuge

    Abuse Survivor: Finding Refuge

Where can we go when we’re desperate and afraid? We can turn to the Lord!
He is our refuge, a very present help in times of trouble.

There are many people in need of the Lord’s sheltering wings today, in need of refuge. What about women and their children who are in need of a safe haven? Should we have a concern even when it doesn’t involve those we know and love? Consider the greatest commandment, to love our neighbor as ourselves! The reality is that domestic violence can happen to anyone: you, your sister, your friend… maybe it is happening now to someone you care about! This is a pervasive problem to concern us all.

Many organizations offer support; I mention one:
Yeshua’s House is a faith-based ‘safe haven’ for women and their children coming from domestic violence and financial hardship. I was a Board Member for four years, now acting as Advisory. To contact Yeshua’s House, go to:

    #16 - Disaster Management & Funding a Recovery

Another Perspective - July 20, 2020 - So many challenges face humanity at this most important juncture. Our economic system, already near the end of this long expansion, was abruptly halted with COVIV19. The economic toll of COVID is still unknowable, but likely to be greater than all recent wars combined. Now we have the planet and its natural calamities adding more fuel to the fire.

Are there solutions to be found amidst the problems of the day?  Can we see them, or will we continue to rely on centralized governments to fund/come to the rescue?

Sometime soon, the primary tool that governments have to deploy for these challenges, their respective currencies, will fail to work. We need to be prepared for that eventuality.
