#RapidFire: Communicating Change, Protecting Your Sales Team and Abundance Mindset Sales Programs

Doug, in this rapid fire episode, breaks down three major things most sales teams will face. If you haven't yet, now is as a good a time as any to get prepared.

First up Doug speaks on communicating change. Change is the only constant. Although we may and by extension our sales team wants thing to stay the same the reality is change is inevitable. So, what do you do when change is on the horizon? Doug breaks down how to effectively communicate those changes with your team!

Next, Doug explains the need to to protect your sales team. You've heard Doug say "Automate, Delegate, Eliminate", that doesn't just go for the leaders. Protect your sales team by getting them the support needed to focus on their main task which is sales. Doug walks us through the best way to make that happen.

Lastly, we venture over into a mindset. Understand that your sales people may have dreams and aspirations outside of your team. There is nothing wrong with that. However, have you created an environment where these ideas can be fostered? Doug navigates through what it means to have an abundance mindset and what it looks like to have a culture that's built on have others dreams fall in line with thee vision on the company.

Thank you for support Building Great Sales Teams!

Most Chefs Are Jerks (On The Exterior)

Most Chefs Are Jerks (On The Exterior)

It’s a short episode this week but the title of this episode sums up the overall Chef experience… yeah, most have a hard shell, with a rough attitude, you can call them jerks and you’d be right; however, just past the gritty facade you find loyalty, life long friendships, and people who genuinely want others to succeed!

This particular podcast embodies that premise. These Chefs are friends, no they’re more than that… these Chefs are family.

Rando Rant - My car buying experience.

Rando Rant - My car buying experience.

In early December, my wife and I decided to purchase a new vehicle for our business.  Understanding the demand for new vehicles and increased prices with used vehicles, we decided to purchase a new vehicle under our business.  We were literally the easiest sale a salesperson can make.  We knew what we wanted and had cash to put down.  However, we noticed they continued to lie, mislead, forget, not communicate and create unnecessary drama.

Note:  In the end, it all worked out, but only after talking to multiple dealerships.  Shout out to the salesperson who actually closed the deal.   You rock!

To my sales professionals out there.  Slow down!!!  The market is growing with no indication of it reversing.  Add value by listening, understanding, problem-solving, etc.  The car industry as we know will be disrupted in due time.

#30 - In Conversation with Austin McCulloh

This week’s guest is our new friend, Austin McCulloh!  Austin is the founder of Austin McCulloh Advising, where he performs as a Sales & Accountability Consultant.  He helps financial advisors grow their business by providing psychology revamping and leadership training.  Essentially, he helps salespeople understand themselves so they can help other people.

We spoke about the abundant v. lack mindset, how sales are about helping other people NOT yourself, and how asking for help from experts isn’t an expense but an investment.

We also laughed our asses off at people who hide their ideas & networks, Austin’s Freudian slip about his sex life, and even gave some tips about recording through a web cam.

It’s an electric and hilarious conversation!

Social Selling Adoption: How to Make It Happen
The buzz: “I don’t’ believe it. Prove it to me and I still won’t believe it” (Douglas Adams). Social Selling is changing the sales industry in positive and profitable ways. For example, sales people who are skilled social media users are six times more likely to exceed quota (Forbes.com 05/22/15, M.M. Biro)! Yet even with growing proof like this, you may still need to convince your entire sales organization to adopt and internalize this new selling and engagement mindset and strategy. How? The right kind of training program can speed transformation and boost adoption rates. The experts speak. Jill Rowley, #SocialSelling: “To be interesting, be interested” (Dale Carnegie). Mario M. Martinez Jr., M3Jr Growth Strategies, LLC: “The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work” (Stubby Currence, 1935).
