    Slumdog Millionaire

    Slumdog Millionaire

Episode #95 in the Next 100 Project scoots over to India to look at the Oscar-sweeping love story/fairy tale between Jamal & Latika. This flick charmed the world 10 years ago, but we’re not sure if people care that much about it now. It’s certainly got its share of great scenes though and it’s a fun time at the movies, despite some brutally dark material. Go to Sparkplugcoffee.com and save 10% on your first order when you use the discount code “Top100Project”.

E3 - Sheel of Bad Rabbits (Part II)

Sheel gives us an up close and personal look into the world of Bad Rabbits. You'll hear about working with famed producer Teddy Riley, how the internet has actually helped them, and navigating the dangerous waters of the music industry.

He's also touches on his choice of gear, overcoming serious back problems, and why using Tommy Lee's 30" bass drum wasn't the best choice in the studio.

E2 - Sheel of Bad Rabbits (Part I)

E2 - Sheel of Bad Rabbits (Part I)

    The American Dream.

That's how drummer Sheel describes his band, Bad Rabbits. They've made a lot of waves since the release of their debut album, American Love, and plan to make more with their hectic 2014 schedule. We talk about honing his craft in The Eclectic Collective, playing with rapper Slick Rick, and the sonic evolution of Bad Rabbits.

A metal drummer at heart, Sheel also describes his relationship with the Deftones' Abe Cunningham, The Soul Train Wall of Death, and... what's up with them bootys on the CD covers!

In addition to the ceremony, paticipants will also be able to visit the historic 125th Street in Harlem NY. Buses and Cars will assemble at the Harlem State Office Building on 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd at 9:00 AM and proceed at 10:00 AM to Ferncliff Cementary in Hartsdale, NY. The Ceremony will last approximatelyone hour after which we will return to Harlem to take part in several activities and rallies sponsored by many organizations throughout the day. The O.A.A.U. initiated the pilgrimage in 1965, after the burial of Malcolm X, to honor and show respect for our people’s fallen leader as well as to educate future generations about the legacy of Malcolm X and his effort to liberate African People’s minds and bodies. The ceremony was designed by Sister Ella Collins, the sister of Malcolm X, then President of the O.A.A.U., and was directed by her until Rodnell Collins, Bro. James Small and Bro. Willie Stark were appointed to continue the pilgrimage. Today the pilgrimage is led by a new generation of young leaders. Transportation will depart the Anacostia Metro Station at 4:00 am and return at 10:30 pm.
