    The Mist

Hold your children close and your ammunition close to your children. This week we peer into the void as we peel apart Stephen King's cosmic horror classic: The Mist.

Solocast: The FORGOTTEN Star Wars Sequel Trilogy S:2 - Ep:1

I talk Star Wars today, but in the Expanded Universe (also known as Legends now) and share my love for Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy from the early 1990's, which WAS a direct sequel to the original Star Wars before the prequels and 2015-2019 films. This is the greatest novelization for Star Wars. I also mention a bit of nostalgia from 1997/1999, Ralph McQuarrie, Chad Vader and much more!

    The Mist - Episode 98

    The Mist - Episode 98

Frank Darabont had been an avid reader of Stephen King novels for quite some time when he came across the 1980 novella called “The Mist” as part of the “Dark Forces” anthology.

Darabont immediately fell in love with the story and decided to adapt King’s book into a film that would become his directorial debut. What ultimately happened was Darabont made another King novella into a film with “The Shawshank Redemption” followed by yet another story called “The Green Mile.”

Finally in 2004, Darabont began working on a screenplay adaptation of “The Mist” that he intended to turn into a film after inking an overall deal with Paramount Pictures.

Darabont’s finished script actually altered the ending of King’s story into something different after a mysterious mist invades a small town, pitting neighbor against neighbor in a harrowing battle for survival.

In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we’re going to grab a can of peas and make sure the revolver is loaded as we review the 2007 film “The Mist”….

Inside the Cockpit 10: Smallville or Twilight

This episode we talk about books, games, and television as we just have a conversation about what we have been up to lately. However, the majority of our conversation does involve either CW's Superman origin based Smallville television show or Stephanie Meyers' Twilight book series.

Also, even though the social media hype has died down, protests have lessened in frequency and it's no longer "trending"; discrimination based on race is still an issue in our country. In fact in addition to our usual link to BLM we are supplying links to organizations that seek to help with the problems of violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander populace, violence that has only unfortunately skyrocketed within the COVID-19 Pandemic.
