Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor recently made headlines after being cast in her feature film debut in the pan-India Mohanlal film Vrushabha. Many accused her of nepotism and questioned the casting decision. According to new reports, the actress has now already bagged another role. She will reportedly star in Karan Johar's Student of the Year 3. There is also speculation that the third instalment of the hit franchise will be a series adaptation. The new series will also likely feature newcomers in prominent roles. UPDATE on Joanna & Jenny’s Busy Careers (Comic-Con Edition!)

Hyphenated producer Kevin interviews Joanna and Jenny (separately) about why both of them were too busy to host the podcast this week. Turns out they each had a very packed and eventful week working at San Diego Comic-Con, Jenny moderating a panel for an upcoming Disney show in front of 4000 people, and Joanna on a panel for another upcoming Disney show that she is the head writer for (and that both she and Jenny voice characters on).

San Diego Comic-Con 2022 Breaking News!

San Diego Comic-Con 2022 Breaking News!

Marvel and DC came to SDCC and gave us a bounty of new information... well, Marvel did anyway. Things are a little less fulsome on the DC side, but does that mean an unannounced Fandome is in our future?

Marvel gave us all of Phase Five, a look at the cornerstones of Phase Six AND the name of this three Phase cycle: The Multiverse Saga. We go long on all of these movies, what they could be, what it could all mean, and what we're most excited about. For me it's definitely Namor.

Plus: I share the reason why Marvel has still not announced an X-Men film, and likely won't be announcing one for a hot minute. Plus: we make our best guesses on how the Multiverse Saga will end. Plus: we just go on and on about a 38 year old miniseries, Secret Wars

We'll be back next week to chat The Boys, and then after that we'll begin covering She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

If you want to hear us talk about these Phase Five and Six movies when they come out, you have to join the Patreon at a $5 or above level, which will get you access to Watch Men, our monthly superhero deep dive podcast.  The latest episode is about Thor: Love and Thunder

    All Comic-Con All Day!

This week we talk everything San Diego Comic-Con! Marvel Animation Studios reveals like X-Men 97 & Zombies. Marvel Studios reveals of the Multiverse Saga like Daredevil & Avengers Secret Wars. And everything else in between like DnD movie, John Wick 4, Shazam 2, all that and more!

Interview with Scott Snyder - Barnstormers, Dudley Datson, and The Forever Machine, and Canary - July 19

    • Last year you launched We Have Demons,’ Night of the Ghoul,’ and ‘Clear for "Scottober" and this year we have Barnstormers, Canary, and Dudley Datson and the Forever Machine...has ComiXology come up with a "Scottsummer" slogan? What would we call this launch?
    • Originally announced as an 8-series deal, when might we see Duck and Cover and Book of Evil?
    • From a creation standpoint, have these series been completed for a while or are they still being finalized?
    • The first three titles were clearly leaning towards horror and monsters, where are you going genre wise with these three new titles?
    • 6 degrees of kevin bacon
    • Dudley Datson and Clear both introduced some wild technology that I could see become a reality, in another life would you be an inventor?
    • I love that you're reminding folks of the idea of  Barnstorming, which I think only Tom Cruise is doing these days but I could be wrong. What fascinates you about this American cultural phenomenon?

    8. Nicole, what can you tell us about the teased Dreamer project with Rye Hickman, is it an OGN or a series?
    9. The full page splash by Jess Taylor featuring Galaxy and Dreamer was super fun, any chance we see a team up with these heroes?
