    Impossible Promises

    Impossible Promises

As we follow the story of Abram and Sarai we are surprised to observe that God takes what is already impossible (a barren couple promised a child), and makes it even more impossible by waiting until it is biologically impossible for the couple to conceive. What happens next can guide us in understanding how God works to bring about His new kingdom in the world and what it means for us to persevere in faith. Scripture: Genesis 16:1 - 18:15.
    Speaker: Brian

    Faith and Fear

    Faith and Fear

It is one thing to trust God in theory; it is entirely another thing to trust God in practice when things that are important to us are in jeopardy. This Sunday we will follow the story of Abram as he moves from admirable faith in God into anxiety and fear. To keep up with the story you can read Genesis 12 and 13.
    Speaker: Brian
    Scripture Passage: Genesis 12:10 - 13:18

Episode 34: Fire, Paramedics & Police at the Scene of Happy

Episode 34: Fire, Paramedics & Police at the Scene of Happy

As a first responder, horrible scenes are often the only places you spend time with first responders of other services. The YXEFRFF committee of five have been changing that reality.

Saskatoon police  officer Ang McEwen and paramedic Nathan Rollack, both of YXE First Responders Fitness Festival, speak about their success last year, the money they have raised for mental health and the number of people it has helped, the work involved with bringing together teams of firefighters, police officers & paramedics to compete against each other, and the plans for this year's festival in October.

Ep. 501 – Life is Short, You Better Hunt

Dr. Scott Stephens joins Dr. Mike Brasher and Chris Jennings to reflect on the recently released BPOP Survey Results. After revisiting earlier predictions for the spring BPOP estimate, which were quite wrong, the discussion turns to habitat conditions, population trends, favorable results from the Eastern Survey Area, and the North Dakota brood survey. In closing, Dr. Stephens leaves us with sage advice given the low BPOP results..."Life is Short, You Better Hunt!"
