You listen to a podcast, watch a youtube video, or a Netflix movie - consuming.
You check out your feeds on various apps - consuming.

Our default behavior seems to be to consume!

What about creating? And, it can be as simple as cooking, reading, or doing chores that create an output.

While the majority of us consume more than we create, it's the few that create more than they consume who seem to be successful, happy & fulfilled!

Wars are fought over it. Fortunes are spent to obtain it. Men try desperately to steal it. What is it? It's satisfaction. Why are people giving their lives for something Father freely bestows on those who believe? True satisfaction, peace, and contentment come from God alone. He promises, "You shall be satisfied". Feeling Satisfied With Your Diet

    Feeling Satisfied With Your Diet

Are you satisfied with your diet?

Would you like to know the latest diet plan that works? We live in a society where everyone's

looking for the latest, the greatest, what's new, what's going to work, how can I drop this weight in one month?

But I want to ask you the key question: Are you satisfied?

Let's look at this verse in Acts 17: 21, which says, “Now all the Athenians and the strangers visiting there used to spend their time and nothing other than telling or hearing something new.

I bring this passage to mind for you because many times we think what's new is what's going to satisfy us because we tried the old stuff that didn't work. And now, you’re looking for something new.

You tried HCG, Atkins, Paleo, or ketogenic….

You've tried all of those diet pills, fasting… You’ve tried everything. And just as the Athenians who were looking for something new, you may be feeling the same way.

Another verse is in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 11, and it says, “He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart... Yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.

We have in our heart a need to be satisfied. But we will only be satisfied in Christ Jesus.

Let's look at another verse in Matthew 11 verse 28. It says, “Come to me all who are weary

and heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

In Ecclesiastes, Solomon explains why men and women are there not satisfied with life and God has put eternity in their heart and nobody will find peace or satisfaction apart from God.

We also can read from the words of St. Augustine who said, “My heart is restless until it rests in

    Thee.”

The eye cannot be satisfied until it sees the hand of God. The ear will not be satisfied until it hears the voice of God. And that's why we read in Matthew 11:28 where it says come to me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

That rest that he's talking about in Matthew is the satisfaction that is spoken about through the entire scripture. We will only be satisfied when we are looking to God for our answers.

There's a saying that says if it is new it's not true. If it is true it's not new.

So, here's where I'm going with: For us to be satisfied in our diet, we've got to go back to the biblical principles. These are principles that are timeless.

They're not new but they work. These are the three principles we use in the Treasures of Healthy Living Bible study https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/treasures-of-healthy-living-bible-study/.

Also, just reading God's Word for what it teaches you and ask him, “Lord how can I eat to satisfy you? How can I eat following your principles that will satisfy me?”

    Episode 123: Fully Satisfied

    Episode 123: Fully Satisfied

Jesus declares that He is both the bread of life and living water. In Him, we no longer need to hunger or thirst for righteousness because it is ours through faith. What an incredible gift! Yet Christians, Jesus is even more than that. He is everything. When we understand this incredible truth, we can live life fully satisfied.

Episode 82 We Already Have All We Need In Jesus

Episode 82 We Already Have All We Need In Jesus
We’re back in Mark this week – Mark 8:1-10 to be exact. Jesus and the disciples are still in the gentile region of the Decapolis because God’s compassion isn’t just for the Jews but the gentiles also. And while it’s a plot that might sound familiar to you, it sure didn’t sound familiar to the disciples. We're talking about the feeding of the four thousand today and it's a great reminder to me that we already have all we need when we have Jesus.

episode 76 For the Day When There Is Not Enough

episode 76 For the Day When There Is Not Enough
In today’s passage, Mark 6:30-44, Jesus and the disciples set out to find some rest but when an enormous crowd gets to their desolate spot before they do all plans get tossed aside. How disappointed were the disciples to see that crowd of people? How tired were they in that moment? There just wasn’t enough patience, energy, or resources for this day. Or was there? You guys, I think you’re going to love this one.
