    Rockcast 298 - Joe Satriani

    Rockcast 298 - Joe Satriani
The guitar legend, the guitar god, the man behind some of the greatest guitar licks and albums in the history of rock, Joe Satriani joins us on the Rockcast. He has a new solo instrumental album out called 'The Elephants of Mars.' It's an album that sees Joe go a little darker as he and his band recorded the album in a solitude of sorts away from each other during the middle of the pandemic. Through his guitar, Joe has been able to accomplish what few writers and musicians are able to, play and write what he wants, how he wants while wearing his heart on his sleeve. He explores emotions through his guitar that somehow paint a picture in your mind. Of course, Joe has also played in the supergroup rock band Chickenfoot with Sammy Hagar, Micheal Anthony, and Chad Smith. Let's nerd out on guitars and music with Joe Satriani.

    Frank Gambale Interview

    Frank Gambale Interview
Grammy winning guitar virtuoso. As a legendary guitarist, Gambale is an undisputed genius who originated the "sweep picking" technique (a new way to play the instrument) and elevated it to a precise art form now standard in the guitar lexicon. The "Gambale Sweep Picking Technique" continues to inspire generations of musicians. Jazz, rock, metal and progressive artists alike are united in their awe of Frank as both an amazing technician and an unsurpassed musician.

Kevin Estrella from the rock band Pyramids on Mars. Kevin has a unique UFO type experience to share. Another fellow Canadian and a favorite past guest of ours Grant Cameron has been investigating his case. Kevin and Grant have come to the conclusion that there just may be a link between these encounters and musicians.
Kevin's guitar playing has been compared to the likes of Vai and Satriani and he truly makes the guitar sing. Is there are greater connection going on with some of these amazing musicians?

We chat about his background, musical influences, interests and how this whole thing has escalated over the past few years. This show happened to be recorded on the debut of Kevin's second album called Echo Cosmic. We also discuss the moon, crop circles, and the UFO field in general. Where does creativity come from, What about all of these famous rock star encounters with UFO's and are aliens socialist?
