F1 Saudi GP: Ollies Arabian Night to Remember

F1 Saudi GP: Ollies Arabian Night to Remember

In this episode, we dive into the twists and turns of the recent Saudi Grand Prix, where a rookies unexpected debut delivered plenty of excitement!

First up, we dissect the sensational debut of Ollie Bearman, who found himself thrust into the Ferrari seat after Carlos Sainz's sudden hospitalization due to appendicitis. Bearman's remarkable performance saw him bring home his Ferrari in 7th place, but did the commentary team's jubilation perhaps overshadow his achievement? Was it an 'earned joy'? There is a dissenting voice to be heard on the pod!

We also delve into the strategic brilliance displayed by Haas, as they leveraged Kevin Magnussen's indiscretions to their advantage. Magnussen became a virtual roadblock on track, aiding his teammate Hulkenberg in securing a valuable point. Was this a stroke of genius by the Haas team, or did it cross the line into unsporting conduct?

Next, we examine the struggles of seasoned drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas. As they continue to underperform, how much time do they have left to prove themselves in the ultra-competitive world of Formula 1?

Additionally, tensions run high at Red Bull following internal investigations and Max Verstappen's backing of Helmut Marko. What's the fallout from this internal strife, and how will it impact the team's performance going forward?

To cap it off, we share our top 5 drivers of the race and offer a sneak peek at what to expect in the upcoming Grand Prix in Australia, just two weeks away.

Yahya Sinwar's Praise For 'Fauda'-Inspired Gaza TV Series Sparks Fresh Rumours

Yahya Sinwar's Praise For 'Fauda'-Inspired Gaza TV Series Sparks Fresh Rumours
A viral video of a speech by most-wanted Yahya Sinwar has sparked speculation that a television series shot in Gaza, and aired on Hamas' channel, was either the inspiration behind the Palestinian group's October 7 attack on Israel, or was a not-so-subtle hint of its sinister plans. During Ramzan of 2022, a show titled 'Fist Of The Free' was aired on Hamas' Al Aqsa television channel. Palestinians are now drawing parallels between the show - called an imitation of 'Fauda' - and the events which unfolded on October 7.

Ross Liggins (Waterman) - ALTBAYS SHOW #21

Welcome to ALTBAYS Show. (feat. Leo Magri)

    Meet Ross Liggins

Ross might not remember what he had for dinner last night, but memories of him being on a boat and fishing at a very young age are vivid in his mind.

If you think you should go to a place to catch waves, nothing should stop you; it does not matter if it is a bomb dropping not too far from your hostel or dodgy immigration officers, there is always a way around it. Ross experienced different cultures, tasted different flavours and got bitten by many mosquitoes to get where he is now: even if he could, he would not change a thing.

Listen to some fun and inspiring stories of this waterman who fishes enough for his necessity and loves the sea above all; at the end of the day, there is no life without it, right?

    Enjoy this fantastic conversation!

ALTBAYS Show invites awesome people who live in Aotearoa, New Zealand, to have an honest, laid-back conversation. Our platform focuses on bringing our community together to grow and thrive.

    Ep. 75: A look back at 2017 - Part 3: A.I, #metoo and Climate Change

Like Lord of the Rings & The Matrix, all good things must come to an ending in their third part. So we end our depressing trilogy of the 2017 rewind with a look at how artificial intelligence made some interesting leaps over the year. Then, we look at how a sleazeball named Harvey was the best thing to happen to feminism since it got the whole world talking. And then, we round up our talking about depressing matters with cheerful news - none of it really matters, because climate change will ensure we won't have a planet in a few years anyway. So go ahead, break that FD and partay!
