Episode 16: Keeping churches and schools safe, Bible bowling is getting big with kids in Texas, and keeping shape note singing alive for 140 years

Church and school security expert Dwayne Harris (Full Armor Church) talks about the most effective (and surprising) way to keep congregations safe. The growth of the Texas Bible Bowl reflects how young people are more interested than ever to know about Jesus. Audrey Jackson reports and we interview Texas Bible Bowl organizer Lisa Kirkwood and elementary division contender Melanie Mitchell. A cappella congregational "shape note" singing is not only the Church of Christ heritage, it has been named the "oldest indigenous musical tradition" in America by the National Music Council. The 140th Annual "Big Singing" in Benton, Kentucky, celebrates and preserves this musical heritage. We interview shape note singing expert and "Big Singing" organizer Gene Gilliland.

Bond 2023 - Student and Staff Safety

"We try to make all our security measures work together - put them together like a puzzle - so they offer the best protection for our students and staff." -  Dan Carney, Director of Safety and Security

There is no single safety measure that will keep Blue Valley safe. But there are many layers of security that, when used effectively, can continue to reduce the risk of injury and violence. This episode about Bond 2023 deals with safety, as Chief Communications Officer Kristi McNerlin talks with Director of Safety and Security Dan Carney about this "security puzzle" and how the efforts to reduce risk never stop.

Drag Queen in Every Classroom: The New American Dream, Guest: Charlie Hurt on Father's Day and All the News

Drag Queen in Every Classroom: The New American Dream, Guest: Charlie Hurt on Father's Day and All the News

On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast, Alex returns to discuss the increasingly boring and pointless January 6 Committee hearings as well as increasingly horrifying economic numbers before launching into an epic Woke Update, which focuses on the whacky Attorney General of Michigan, Dana Nessel, who said she wants a drag queen in every classroom. That is the new American dream, we suppose. Then, we give you all of the rest of the top headlines that you need for today, and perhaps one or two that you don't, like the CDC's utterly bonkers monkeypox guidelines. They are real, and they are beyond belief. Our Father's Day weekend guest is Charlie Hurt, who is truly one of the best dads around, and is also the opinion editor of the Washington Times and a FOX News contributor. We get his thoughts on the current trans hysteria, the Democrat's reluctance to protect Supreme Court justices, and what he believes the Jan. 6th hearings are really all about. And finally, our caller of the day asks an interesting question: would you rather have an armed guard or a drag queen in the classroom? We all know what the mainstream Democrat viewpoint is as of Summer 2022.

What If the DOJ Isn't Interested In Solving School Mass Shootings

What If the DOJ Isn't Interested In Solving School Mass Shootings

What if the Biden Administration and the DOJ aren’t interested in ending school mass shootings? Carl examines Operation Fast and Furious where Obama’s AG, Eric Holder illegally ran guns across the southern border to undermine 2A rights - border agent Brian Terry was killed by one of those guns, the Gretchen Whitmer “kidnapping” hoax where FBI informants recruited participants in the scheme to create a narrative against Trump supporters, and questions why President Biden and the DOJ have no desire to “harden schools” to deter mass shooters. Carl argues that the left rather see kids die than harden schools because they want public outcry for gun control.

Shocking New Details Shifts Uvalde Massacre Narrative, Guest: Brandon Darby on All-Things Texas

Shocking New Details Shifts Uvalde Massacre Narrative, Guest: Brandon Darby on All-Things Texas

On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast, Alex is in the captain's chair today, despite a planned absence. There was simply too much breaking news in the Uvalde, Texas massacre, including the apparent revelation there was no armed guard at the school - contra to what was reported by esteemed journalist Jimmy Kimmel. Breitbart News also broke the news overnight that police lacked an essential piece of equipment for active shooter situations. We go through the timeline in great detail then we get into a few other headlines. Our guest today is Brandon Darby, who is Breitbart's Border and Cartel Chronicles director, but he also heads up our Texas coverage. He reports the real news and corrects the fake news coming out of Uvalde. Then we finish with our caller of the day.

With school systems across the nation and the world now operating in face-to-face, hybrid and remote learning scenarios, assuring that all involved can function safely when leveraging the internet—for both participatory learning and school operations—has never been more critical. In this era of COVID-19, school systems have become one of the main targets for cyber criminals. Now, more than ever, school district leaders must know how to take appropriate actions to be sufficiently aggressive in getting ahead of cybersecurity threats and problems.
