    S2E2: Carbon Creek - Review

    S2E2: Carbon Creek - Review

A Vulcan expedition lands in 1950s America, finding themelves stuck in a demension somehewere between The Coneheads and October Sky. At its core, this epsiode is an immigrant story, with one of the characters eventually realzing how great this country is. So I just got to say one thing...God, bless America.

We also discuss, in length, modern Star Trek and how aboslutely terrible it is.

    S1E24: Desert Crossing - Review

    S1E24: Desert Crossing - Review

Clancy Brown invites Archer and Trip to play shirtless lacross, but instead they end up getting shot at, running away, and getting lost in the desert.

We changed up the format for this review and went through the episode scene by scene. Justin hated the format and I felt kind of indifferent. So, suffice it to say, we won't be doing a review like this agian.

Les grandes séries télévisées : 3ème partie

Les grandes séries télévisées : 3ème partie

    🎤🎧🎥🎬

    S1E22: Vox Sola - Review

    S1E22: Vox Sola - Review

A fibrous, web-like alien creature (more like the mood slime from Ghostbusters 2) comes aboard the ship and several of the crew becomes entangled in it including Archer and Trip, and it seems Hoshi is the only one who can try to communicate with the creature.

Once again, it comes down to Hoshi to save the day. Do you think she's got the right stuff?

    S1E21: Detained - Review

    S1E21: Detained - Review

Archer and Mayweather are captured by the Tandarans and placed in a Suliban internment camp...and it in NO WAY resembles the Japanese interement camps of the 1940s, or does the episode ever attempt to create an allegory between that real life tragedy and this episode of Star Trek, or draw a direct connection by mentioning, in dialogue, the name one of the most notorious interment camps...no not at all.

    ENT: "Judgment" (s2e19)

    ENT: "Judgment" (s2e19)

TRIAL BY RETCON. Ohhhh, sorry Captain Kirk. Turns out it's fairly common for the captain of (the) Enterprise to stand trial on the Klingon home world. Jonathan Archer did it 80 years before you were even born! Our Trials of Season Two theme month continues with this rehash of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country with some DS9 "Tribunal" thrown in for good measure as David Goodman, the President of the Writers Guild of America, jumps from sitcoms to Star Trek to co-write an episode that borrows heavily from established franchise history. Is it a winner or all too familiar?

The grades begin at (19:06). Also, Bryan makes a big mistake when he references Tuvok being on the Excelsior during Star Trek VI as being in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Timeless" when we ALL know it's "Flashback."

If you're enjoying the show, consider subscribing and rating us five stars on your podcast platform of choice. And don't forget to check out our monthly spotlight on the animated shows. This month: Laurie Ulster from TrekMovie.com joined Bryan to judge the first two episodes from The Animated Series (1973).
