    A FIFA Regen Gone Wrong

    A FIFA Regen Gone Wrong

Andrew Slaven, Laura Brannan and Findlay Marks are back again to talk all things Scottish football.

With top flight domestic football returning last weekend, we round up all the action including goals, gaffes, the dark arts, red cards... and dodgy pizza.

VAR will be arriving in Scotland after the World Cup, although the testing and training of it is already underway. We chat to former grade one referee and host of the Get Involved Referee Podcast, Des Roache, to find out how it might impact the Premiership.

And it's another massive week for Scottish clubs in Europe. We preview how we think Rangers, Celtic and Hearts will fare ahead of some mouth-watering ties.

    RUNNING ORDER:
    • PART 1: Intro (00m 26s)

Peter Martin Helped Me Get Pregnant

Peter Martin Helped Me Get Pregnant

The fixture card may have been postponed but The (Scottish Football) Show must go on.

Grant Russell is joined by West Ham United's Laura Brannan and Partick Thistle's Craig Walker for episode eight of the season.

SPFL new boys Bonnyrigg Rose are enjoying life in League Two, sitting second top with only two defeats in six so far. Manager Robbie Horn joined us ahead of their top of the table clash with Dumbarton at the weekend.

Another team sitting pretty in second place is Championship side Partick Thistle. The club’s head of women’s media, Craig Walker, joins us on the show as we take a particular focus on whether this is the year the Jags go back to the top flight.

Ahead of week two in Europe, we preview Celtic and Rangers’ Champions League games, as well as Hearts’ trip to Riga in the Europa Conference League. But why are Napoli and Rangers fans now being locked out of their respective away tie?

And finally, it’s 15 years since James McFadden collected the ball against the World Cup finalists France and thought “why not?” Peter Martin joins us to recall his award-winning commentary which is almost as memorable as the strike itself.

    RUNNING ORDER:
    00:00 - Intro
04:47 - Bonnyrigg manager Robbie Horn
    14:52 - Is this Partick Thistle’s season?
22:50 - European preview and why are Rangers fans being locked out?

    The Happiness Edition

    The Happiness Edition

When we started this podcast (did I mention it’s the world’s longest running football fans podcast) we never thought it would last 17 seasons.  It’s ebbed and flowed and the young kids have arrived with their xg, xa, xt, abc, easy as 1,2,3 but we’ll always be here - the middle aged podcast for the middle aged fan who loves the hoops and gets mildly irritated.

And so we are back for that record breaking 17th season (every season is record breaking because I’m not sure I’ve mentioned it but we’re the world’s longest running football fans podcast).  This week I am joined by Duncan, St Anthony and Lachie Mor to preview the season, discuss the Aberdeen game and even get around to questioning if Queens Park can become Glasgow’s second team.

    Enjoy…
