Continuing through the Old Testament, we now turn to the book of 1 Samuel with a look at the beginnings of the Kingdom of Israel and the rise of David.

Sam continued in our journey through the book of 1st Samuel tonight going through chapter 15.

1 Samuel 15 marks the major turning point in King Saul's life. He was commanded by God, through Samuel, to utterly destroy the Amalekites and not take anything that is theirs, but instead, he chose to fear man and not God. He let the people lead him; he didn't leave the people. Consequently, Samuel is sent by God to speak to Saul and inform him that the Kingdom has been taken from him and given to his neighbor who is better than him. Pastor Ryan preaches a commanding messages about the utter gravity of our disobedience when we fail to do as God has commanded us.
