The social and spiritual climate in which we live is unique. It is complex to the world, but it is simple to a believer. It is the enemy’s plan to remove any perception of right and wrong. If he can remove any line of demarcation between right and wrong, we can engage in moral relativism to justify any and all behaviors. Phrases like “Culture has changed” and “Times have changed” are used to explain away the concepts of right and wrong. The bible is clear, there is a right and a wrong and it is vitally important for us to know where that is and strive to be on the correct side of that line. There is no neutral ground in living for God. We either choose to live for God, or we live for the world. By definition, if we are not living for God, we are living for the world. Bro. Stevision declares “I would rather live on the side of God!” There should be no doubt where we stand. Paul (then known as Saul) was actively engaged in trying to round up the followers of Jesus to kill them. Our text from Acts is the moment when Paul switched sides. Satan works through opposition. When we start to switch sides, things will come into our life to stop us from doing what is right. God works through opportunity. When God brings things into our life, it is to prepare us for Him to show Himself in a greater way. God tells Saul that He was trying to move him somewhere, but Saul kept fighting. We spend all of our energy fighting against what God is trying to do for us.
