Our Gentle High Priest - Audio

Our Gentle High Priest - Audio
What are the Qualifications of A Great High Priest, more importantly, what qualifies Jesus to be our great high priest? Jesus is qualified to be our Great High Priest because He was appointed by God, and because He understands our struggle - these were the requirements of every high priest, and Jesus takes both to a whole new level! God appointed Him as High Priest, as His Son. Jesus did not seek this role of His own will, but by the Father’s divine appointment. In addition, He understands our struggle, and identifies with our pain and weakness as much as is humanly possible, and in ways that are only possible as a human being. He came in human flesh and experienced fully all that we go through. He was made perfect for the job by learning obedience through all that He suffered, and by that He became the way of salvation for all who obey Him.
