Kings are the the personified embodiment of the people they rule. As such, they are symbols of strength, stability, and security. Faced with a grim reality in which the satanic powers of a foreign army had ridiculed and humiliated their king, robbing the people of any sense of safety, God graciously announces the pending arrival of a King who will give his people rest on every side. Join us as we explore what this means for how we process and experience the bad days of the present.

The Shepherd King and His Happy Subjects - Audio

The Shepherd King and His Happy Subjects - Audio
The last message in our Advent series, a little behind schedule. One of the plainest messianic prophesies comes in the context of judgment on the people of God. We see that though God's face will not shine for a time, he will not let his covenant promises fall to the ground. The people of God will go be in labor pains for a time, but the pain will end. When Messiah is born, then the people will find peace and security in his reign. He is both strong and gentle because he is the shepherd king.
