Paul introduces us to Timothy and Epaphroditus in Philippians 2. Timothy can be described as Paul’s life long project and Epaphroditus as a man who man Paul’s burdens his own. These two men - Paul’s best men, are sent to the Church in Philippi. Just as Paul sent his best men out, we are taught how God sent Jesus Christ- His best to us.

The 9th sermon in a series on Philippians. Paul encourages the struggling Philippians with reminders of their friends, Timothy and Epaphroditus, both who put their own wellbeing on the line for the sake of this church. Here, we see the value of self-giving friendship, portrayed not just in these saints, but first and foremost in Jesus' own friendship with us.
