Due to one of us becoming fortunate enough to find a life partner, we've had to split the pod into three parts this week.

Firstly Tom takes us through the week 8 games, commenting on niche special teamers and highlighting the play of guys that will likely be out of the league within the month.

Next Brad glances at the GM scene, and identifies which of the 32 currently employed could be destined to get the axe by the start of next season.

Finally Colum rambles on about the 49ers, and why Shanahan would get a longer leash than many would presume.

Normality (well, whatever that passes for) will resume next week.

With not even a sleep to go in time for the start of the season and a full house of hosts, it's a bumper last pod before the season begins in earnest.

There's many debates about which kicker to take, whether to draft Gus Edwards (we did) and in generala good time for all.

The pre-season is over and now we wait for the real action to begin...

And while we wait let's get into who's won all the starting jobs, take a last look at the rookies in pre-season, celebrate the success of Mac Jones and Rhamondre Stevenson which makes Brad one of the best scouts in the NFL (Tom's paraphrased words).

Football has nearly come home to Sunday nights, we just have the honour of Dallas versus Tampa to start us off on Thursdays before seven hours of glorious football for 18 Sundays. We're nearly there!!

Training camps have started and the news oh it is a flowing.

Decisions were made across the league from both the league, teams and players. Whether it's potential forfeited games, contracts being signed, players being traded or if you're scared to put a needle in your arm and get a boo boo - there's a lot to get into this week, so we got into it!

It's a bumper week for news (and even more coming next week!) as we have stolen cars, historical records and franchise tags!

That's right the deadline for those on the tag has passed and instead we're looking at what that means for th e teams and players who are now on the hook for payment. Will they be there in 2022? How many hot takes can Brad throw out? Listen and find out!
