Welcome to the fourth episode of Rewind, the all-new podcast series hosted by me, Corey Latimer. I'm hoping to find a co-host soon for this iteration of Press Play To Continue. Tenía que pasar. Esta semana Eric vio por primera vez una película que Carlitos ya había visto mil veces. Estamos hablando de Dune (1984), el estrepitoso fracaso que David Lynch dirigió por encargo de Dino Di Laurentiis, el Rey Midas del trash. Charlamos de drogas, religión, las diferencias entre la película y los libros, los tires y aflojes de la producción, los globitos de pensamiento omnipresentes, Shai Hulud, la FM Exposición, cuestiones de género, guerras santas, habitantes del desierto con tez más blanca que el yogur con crema, y de probablemente los peores efectos especiales de la década del 80.

La cortina musical que abre y cierra el episodio es una versión cumbia del tema principal de Dune (Toto), compuesta especialmente para el programa.
