Wayne Resnick sits in for Bill Handel. House Speaker McCarthy visited Orange County to discuss "burglary tourism" and also emphasize the GOP's focus. Homelessness is proving to be a harder thing to curb than anyone had anticipated. EJ Hilbert, Cyber Security professional at KCRcyber.com, returns to the show to talk with Wayne about MoveIt, software that moves data files from one location to another without requiring file transfer, and how hackers are using it for leverage. And after months of giving the cold shoulder, China welcomed U.S. Secretary of State Blinken to Beijing.

    Episode 9: Regime Change

    Episode 9: Regime Change

President-elect Joe Biden sees the world very differently than President Trump. He’s promised to reinvigorate diplomacy, and his approach to a range of pressing national security challenges – from Afghanistan to Iran to China – will likely diverge starkly from that of the current president. Biden has also begun to assemble his foreign policy team. State Department senior staffers and long-time Biden aides Anthony Blinken and Jake Sullivan will reportedly be nominated as Secretary of State and National Security Advisor (respectively), and Pentagon veteran Michelle Flournoy will be Biden's pick for Secretary of Defense.  Who are these people and what does their selection mean for Biden's approach to international relations? Do these choices augur a confrontation between Biden and his progressive critics on foreign policy? Vox national security writer Alex Ward joins host Mark Hannah for a conversation on the last two months of the Trump administration, and the future of American foreign policy under President-elect Biden.

    #01.02 | Joschka Fischer – Sustainability (German)
In our second episode the focus is on the sustainability in the transport sector, one of the major challenges of our time. Martin Daum hosts a pioneer of sustainable and environmental friendly politics: Joschka Fischer, former Vice Chancellor and Secretary of State of the Federal Republic of Germany and now principal of Joschka Fischer & Company consultants, which he founded ten years ago. Having left active politics a while ago Fischer remains an attentive analyst of the political business and keeps on campaigning for environmental protection and a sustainable climate policy. Fischer's credo is that CEOs from large companies like Daimler Trucks & Buses have a specific responsibility. Martin Daum fully agrees and talks with Fischer about how to balance ecological and economical objectives. Joschka Fischer; Germany's Green Party methusalem and Martin Daum discuss, how society, politics and economics have to cooperate for a sustainable climate policy, why climate change does not come for free and why there is a chicken-egg-dilemma when it comes to hydrogen powered vehicles. Enjoy!
