How To Take Care Of Your Nuts with Torsten Koehler

How To Take Care Of Your Nuts with Torsten Koehler

In his thirties, Torsten Koehler, the founder of Love Your Nuts Foundation, was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1995 ironically whilst educating young teenagers about sex education at a school where he was employed as a teacher.

He joins me to talk about “the shy cancer which is the most common cancer in the age group 15 to 45". We discuss his work they in educating young and older men about testicular cancer and explain why it's important for men to regularly check their nuts. Testicular cancer is known to get aggressive, he also highlights the impact of not seeking professional help before the cancer spreads further into the body. Torsten reveals how cancer patients tend to get depressed and how writing essays which turned into a published book called, you guessed it "Love Your Nuts" helped him overcome this phase and offers some words of encouragement and support for those dealing with mental health issues.

    Encore Dealing with Difficult People

    Encore Dealing with Difficult People
Most of us were taught that we were supposed to love all people, right? But what does that mean when it comes to those difficult people in our lives? Are we meant to pretend that we “love” them when we really just wish they would go away and leave us alone? How are we to deal with this? Well, there are lots of ways we do deal with difficult people. Some of those are healthy ways of dealing and others, not so much. Today we will not only discover some of the unhealthy ways of dealing, but we are going to talk about some practical and healthy ways of dealing with the difficult people in your life. You don’t want to miss this one.

    Eight Questions

    Eight Questions

Do you pursue self awareness? Socrates once said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” Jesus once said that in knowing the truth, we would be set free. This message makes the assertion that the truth we should seek isn’t just the truth about God, but also the truth about ourselves. Without self-examination, we can never fully transform into Christ’s image and find the freedom his disciples enjoy.

There Is Vulnerability In Receptivity | 019

There Is Vulnerability In Receptivity | 019

For the first 30 years of my life I was very closed off to Love. Now that I’m starting to open up, I’m realizing that being vulnerable is a requirement to receiving Love.

How do I step into this vulnerability? How do I overcome the fear of loss, rejection, or heartbreak? How do I open myself up to receive Love?

I seek the answers to these questions and more on this episode of Mind Tasting.

Mind Tasting is written, recorded, and produced by Kyle Romero @kyrotechnics.

    Seeking your Deepest Knowing

    Seeking your Deepest Knowing

I talk about emotions with people every day.  I feel like I'm never quite able to convey their importance in our lives.  Today I share some of the deeper connections I think we can make if we trust ourselves to be more aware, to go deeper.  I use a beautiful example from the book 'Untamed' by Glennon Doyle about her own breakthroughs in understanding herself in one seemingly simple area.  There can never be enough examples of these kinds of discoveries, so I shall never stop talking about them and the topic of emotions, becoming and our values.  Be Well!
