The Crazy, Loving Father - part 2.
Bible reference: Luke 15.11-32.
This is the second talk on the parable of the Crazy, Loving Father, and in this episode we focus on the Father's relationship with his oldest son, who is just as lost as the youngest son.
# 056 - As we begin Pride Month, I'd like to argue that it's natural to oppose this high holiday of the left. Because pride is self-righteous nonsense.

What's motivating you?
So much of what Jesus said had just as much if not more to say about someone's motivation than their actions. Continuing in our series through the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew, Sean tackles matters of the heart.
Matthew 18:21-35
Talk about humility? How much humility does it take to forgive someone? Andrew and Edwin discuss an even greater humility. How much humility does it take to forgive someone 77 times? That is Jesus's call for us.

Matthew 18:6-9
Part of humility is refusing to be a stumbling block. Andrew and Edwin discuss the fact that just because someone is a stumbling block doesn't mean we are free to stumble, but at the same time just because others are responsible not to stumble doesn't mean we are free to be a stumbling block.

Matthew 18:1-5
The disciples ask Jesus to tell them which of them will be the greatest in the kingdom. He explains they'll be lucky if any of them even actually get into the kingdom. Andrew and Edwin discuss a kind of second conversion these disciples needed to go through (and perhaps we do to). This will kick off a three chapter look at humility.

As we pick back up in our series in Luke, Pastor Austin teaches on an important upcoming dinner party. In the passage Jesus describes to us a great wedding banquet and how this just a taste of what Heaven is like. However, what's more beautiful is the people who are invited to this wedding feast. Jesus tells us that the people at this wedding are in fact wedding crashers. He explains that no one deserved or earned their way to be there but rather the host was infinitely welcoming. We see that Jesus has sent out save the date invites to the broken sinner, not the self righteous.

Do you get road rage? Jealous of the neighbor's vacations? We are tempted by a force within us that tells us that we aren't enough, that we need to do more, have more, work harder or react to a situation in an emotional way. In this podcast, Pastor Dan Smail and Wendy Farone discuss the true meaning of temptation, the underlying root cause of our response to temptations and how to practice a Spirit-led way of approaching those sparks of negative emotion within us. Jesus models for us how to follow him as disciples and how to deal with temptation.

Today we are looking at a time where dysfunction was present in the conversations of the disciples. They were even ashamed to same what they were talking about. Self righteousness is never a good quality for a follower of Jesus. Our discussions on who is the greatest will be a short list...Jesus
