You want movie reviews? You get them here as Erik Childress and Steve Prokopy give you the standard they love to hit with ten reviews, including revisiting the emotional powerhouse from SXSW (Introducing, Selma Blair), another documentary about the January 6th insurrection (Four Hours at the Capitol) and even another about one of the legendary makeup artists (Smoke and Mirrors: The Story of Tom Savini). They catch up on some festival horror films they did not get to on the shows from Sundance & SXSW (Broadcast Signal Intrusion, Knocking) and another trying to blend vampires with Michael Mann (Night Teeth). Families are given another theatrical offering (Ron’s Gone Wrong) while adults who like quirk with their historical tales can try Benedict Cumberbatch painting cats (The Electrical Life of Louis Wain) and the latest from Wes Anderson (The French Dispatch). Finally, it all comes down to the film fans of Frank Herbert have been waiting for over 55 years (after initially waiting 19) as Denis Villeneuve’s Dune hits the big screen (and HBO MAX). Is it worth the wait and the vast improvement over David Lynch’s version that everyone hoped it would be? The guys each have a lot to say about it.

    Episode 32 - Cruel Intentions

    Episode 32 - Cruel Intentions
"My advice is to sleep with as many people as possible." - Kathryn Merteuil

The teen movie that came with SO MUCH SCANDALOUS HYPE. It was the kiss we were all talking about in 1999. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair made spittle cool. Cruel Intentions was the modern-day Dangerous Liaisons we didn't know we needed. Drenched in opulence, hormones, and tons of style, this film took the 90s teen movie wave to a new level. If you haven't seen this one in awhile, take a trip to New York with Andrea and Melissa to revisit all the teenagers we never had enough money to hang with.

    Ep.259 The Fog (1980 Vs. 2005)

Bolt your doors. Lock your windows. There is something in The Fog! IOTR brings all the horror this October beginning with John Carpenter's classic The Fog (1980) starring Adrienne Barbeau, Jamie Lee Curtis,  Janet Leigh, and Tom Atkins. We will also be comparing and contrasting it to the 2005 remake starring Tom Welling, Maggie Grace, and Selma Blair. Listen to Invasion of the Remake to find out what lays inside The Fog.

Episode 9 - Cruel Intentions, with special guest Claire Curtis*

(* Error and apologies: I introduced Claire incorrectly by her maiden name - since mid 2019 she is now Claire Curtis!)

Welcome back to Teen Queens, the podcast about teen movies where we reminisce about youth via the medium of teen films.

"In the game of seduction, There is only one rule: Never fall in love. What you can't have, you can't resist."

As the days seem to merge in lockdown this is the second of two episodes released over the last few days about teen films from 1999. This time I'm joined by my very good friend Claire Curtis to discuss the ICONIC Cruel Intentions, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Philippe, Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair. Things are about to heat up.

Special thanks to Claire! Let us know what you through via (all) socials - @teenqueenspod | Anna tweets - @littlewolf85 | Email - teenqueenspod@gmail.com

    Episode 96 - Legally Blonde

A woman dumps her boyfriend because she's about to go to Harvard Law School and doesn't want his childish antics holding her back. Then this jilted lover devises an elaborate scheme to enroll in her school specifically to stalk her and systematically destroy her life.
