    FOCUS On The Good

    FOCUS On The Good
Do you ever worry about tomorrow? Does anything in life cause you anxiety? Do you need Clarity? If we focus on the wrong things, our life tends to be so much more difficult, but when we focus on the right things, on the good things, we are able to walk more freely, overcome more quickly, have more victory and have more joy.

Focus | On The Good - Audio
Much of what we choose to focus on is triggered by what we think about. As we begin this series, Paul talks about the importance of this concept. Our thoughts have the power either to drag us down to an emotional and spiritual valley of death or to lift us high to a mountaintop. As a foundational rule, focusing on the negatives will make it very difficult for us to see the positives. This week, let's talk about how we can FOCUS ON THE GOOD!

    The Focused Life- Psalm 1

    The Focused Life- Psalm 1
In this sermon Pastor Keith explains from Psalm 1 that the life of a godly person is a focused life that has it’s direction from God’s word, delight in God’s word and dominating influence from God’s word. Biblical meditation is an important element on the path of the godly. Here are a few ways biblical mediation is defined: Meditation is “deep thinking on the truths and spiritual realities revealed in Scripture for the purposes of understanding, application, and prayer” Donald Whitney, Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life Meditation is the activity of calling to mind, and thinking over, and dwelling on, and applying to oneself, the various things that one knows about the works and ways and purposes and promises of God. It is the activity of holy thought, consciously performed in the presence of God, under the eye of God, by the help of God, as a means of communion with God. J.I. Packer, Knowing God Those who have deep roots in their relationship with God have learned the practice of biblical meditation. They are like a tree that is planted and rooted by streams of water.
