The Apostle Paul received his gospel of grace through a revelation of Jesus. The sermon explains the process and why it was important for him to mention it. The text has a number of references to back the opinion. The sermon also looks into the difference in translation regarding Christ being revealed to Paul or in Paul and why the traditional translation is more powerful.

Paul and the apostles received the gospel message as well as the call to preach that message from the Lord Jesus. Paul verified his gospel after some time preahing it to the gentiles. This verification was not strictly necessary, but it was helpful. We see that the gospel the apostles preached was singular and settled. This is because the source of authority from which the true gospel proceeds is that of Jesus himself. We can have confidence that if we believe the gospel of the apostles, we stand on the sure foundation of Christ and his apostles.

Summary - Galatians 2:15-21 - a continuation of the account in Antioch with Peter. Peter is happy to eat with the Gentiles until Jewish visitors came from James. It is against Jewish law to eat with Gentiles and Peter changes his practice when visitors arrive. Paul rebukes Peter and it becomes clear that Paul fight’s this battle because what is at stake is the very core of the Gospel itself! In verse 15-21 Paul gives the theological argument and understanding behind his thinking. These few verses are, therefore, packed with some of the essential doctrines of salvation in Christ and in the true meaning of the Gospel.
