How can we become a more tightly knit community that pulls one another upward toward a closer relationship with Jesus? We learn about this in a message from Village Missions Director, John Adams.

In this passage, too often people focus on the Gerasene demoniac, but it’s all about Jesus…. Jesus and his power to restore and transform helpless and hopeless people who cannot fix themselves. Sin “dehumanizes” us. We may read this story and think we have nothing in common with him, but the reality is that sin has broken and bruised us all. We are all hopeless without Him.

But you are a chosen race a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
