You Have Comforted Me - Audio
This comfort is not the come to the Thanksgiving table, pull up a chair, and get ready sort of comfort. It goes much deeper than that. This word comfort is really intriguing to me, because the kind of “comfort” it is, is an active, purging, refining type comfort. It’s the same word in Genesis 5:29 when Noah is named, his father “called his name Noah, saying, “May this one comfort us in the labor and toil of our hands caused by the ground that the LORD has cursed.”” And we know this, that Noah does bring comfort, but it is through deliverance and salvation, sparing from God’s wrath!
