Paul and Barnabas preach to both Jews and Gentiles in the region of Lycaonia, but the people are divided, and some persecute them. Some, after witnessing the healing of a crippled man, seek to worship the two as gods, but are sternly rebuffed by Paul. Then he is attacked, dragged out of the city and stoned by the Jews.
