    "I'm Supposed to Be Here."

"She watched him continue to tap against her window with a dirty fingernail.
    Tap… tap… tap..."

A quote from today's first horror tale. A young girl, her brothers, and mother are tormented by poltergeist activity that disappears as mysteriously as it began. In the second story, we tour the haunted past and present of Philadelphia's Eastern State Penitentiary. And then Lynze shares some spooky listener submissions!

    Opening Sumerian protection spell (adapted):
"Whether thou art a ghost that hath come from the earth, or a phantom of night that hath no home… or one that lieth dead in the desert… or a ghost unburied… or a demon or a ghoul… Whatever thou be until thou art removed… thou shalt find here no water to drink… Thou shalt not stretch forth thy hand to our own… Into our house enter thou not. Through our fence, breakthrough thou not… we are protected though we may be frightened. Our life you may not steal, though we may feel SCARED TO DEATH."

    The Enfield Poltergeist

    The Enfield Poltergeist

“Now!” he cried. 'Can you see me?' Annie screamed. 'Go away!' She bared her teeth and started to laugh, her chest spasming as she heaved."

A quote from today's first story. Our first tale is the infamous Enfield Poltergeist. The basis for the horror blockbuster, the Conjuring 2. From 1977 to 1979, some of the most intense poltergeist activity ever witnessed by multiple people was targeted at one family living in Enfield, a northern borough of London. Our second story is a tale of one boy's repeated encounters with a shadow man in Leeds. And then Lynze will be telling two listener-submitted horror tales.

    Burned Alive

    Burned Alive

"...late one night, laying in his bed, surrounded by that strange oppressive feeling... a new source of fear emerged from the darkness..."

A quote from today's second tale. Our first story offers a further explanation of one of the items in our studio - a Dybbuk box. I'll explain the historical basis for this box and I’ll also share a modern tale involving this ancient monster trapper. Our second story involves a young boy who witnessed the terrible death of a stranger, and then appears to have been either haunted by the angry spirit of that unfortunate man or by some other dark entity that preyed on his memory of that gruesome death in order to inflict further psychological harm. Hope both tales leave you Scared to Death!
