Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

The Knicks are hanging on by a thread and had to be bailed out last night against the lowly Pistons. We also have a norovirus update: Aly, our makeup artist, is out today with it. She was touching our faces yesterday so we are probably in the incubation period. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the controversial call at the end of the Knicks game. The Pistons head coach called it the absolute worst call of the season, a no call. Bills player Dion Dawkins was on Vlad TV and called Micheal Clemons a ‘bitch boy’. In the final segment of the hour, it’s NFL combine week so Boomer is excited to hear about hand measurements. Caleb Williams will not be there throwing. Gio said it sounds like it’s not over yet in Chicago with Justin Fields. Boomer insists it’s over and they are taking Williams. Boomer said Williams needs to go there as the Bears have assets and a great defense and are going to be good.

    Hour 2

Gio ran into Saquon Barkley at a golf course yesterday. He just said hello and didn’t ‘chat him up’. Boomer gifts Gio with a Ghost brand golf bag. Gio said he was golfing with someone who was a ‘brain dead loser’. Boomer said Gio is becoming a real golfer because he gets annoyed at other golfers now. A caller said he quit golf ‘after taking a goose’s head off’. A caller wondered about quarterback Bo Nix in the draft and that got us talking about Daniel Jones and the Giants future at QB. Jerry returns for an update and Boomer gives him a framed photo from the golf course when they played in Vegas. Jerry starts with the Knicks beating the Pistons with help from the refs ‘no call’. As you might imagine, the Pistons head coach was pissed. Erin Andrews tells a story of a Bucs player being nasty to her back in the day and John Lynch and Derrick Brooks came to her defense. Al has a few newspaper clippings from his days covering the Bucs and has a picture of himself on the sideline as Wayne Chrebet caught a pass from Curtis Martin. In the final segment of the hour, we replayed a PSA we heard about getting a nose spray in case someone overdoses in your house.

    Hour 3

After a Duke player was injured over the weekend, the topic of storming the court is in the news. Boomer talked about a time at Maryland when the fans stormed the field. We somehow got on people being nervous about ‘the grid’ going down at some point. We talked about fans running on the field in baseball after Hank Aaron’s HR. Eddie ran on the field at Shea Stadium, stole some grass, and planted it in his backyard. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks beating the Pistons thanks to a ‘no call’ by the refs. Jerry has audio from around MLB spring training camps. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about LeBron James’ son, Bronny and his NBA future. We also talked about other kids of legendary athletes who try to follow in their father’s footsteps.

    Hour 4

Tomorrow Gio and Al will be bringing their dogs into the studio thanks to the Farmer’s Dog. Gio is worried how his dog will behave at the station. We took a call from a flight attendant who thanked Boomer for reminding people to tip. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about our dogs coming in to work tomorrow and the file the company has on Eddie for things he’s done wrong in the past (like bringing his dog in). Jerry starts with audio from last night’s Knicks win with help from a ‘no call’ by the refs. Bills player Dion Dawkins was on Vlad TV and called Micheal Clemons a ‘bitch boy’.The Moment of The Day involves Gio seeing Saquon Barkley at the golf course and Gio’s golf partner was drooling all over him. In the final segment of the show, a caller wonders about Joe Burrow’s wrist.

UKRAINE INDICTS GIULIANI PALS AS RUSSIAN SPIES - 11.15.23

UKRAINE INDICTS GIULIANI PALS AS RUSSIAN SPIES - 11.15.23

SEASON 2 EPISODE 74: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Ukraine indicts Rudy Giuliani's three contacts on the fabricated "Hunter Biden Burisma Investigation" as RUSSIAN SPIES. The charge is TREASON. The second part of Trump's multi-pronged association with Russia (and the primary reason for his first impeachment) roars back to life as the Ukrainian government indicts a sitting member of its parliament, a former member, and the former deputy prosecutor, for running a disinformation campaign alongside the GRU - Russian Military Intelligence.

It is unlikely the scandal will actually see Giuliani prosecuted in Ukraine, but until these indictments it was also unlikely that the Ukrainian-Russian-Disinformation scandal would spring back to life. Two of the three men indicted for treason had previously been sanctioned by Trump's own State Department for helping Russian spies pump disinformation into this country through gullible and corrupt people (looking at you Rudy). And this now ties to James Comer because last spring when Comer asked a "whistleblower" about recordings of Joe Biden, one of them mysteriously produced exactly those recordings. Comer's investigation is now based in part on the work of a Russian Spy under indictment in Ukraine for treason.

ALSO: Fani Willis expects her Trump trial to extend into next winter and very possibly into early 2025. Textbook reply by the Special Counsel to the stay of the Trump DC case gag order - except prosecutors compared his case to those of Tim McVeigh, a 9/11 plotter, and a Boston Marathon bomber. And as Senator Mullin threatens to throw hands with a Union Boss witness on the Senate floor, and Rep. Tim Burchett accuses Rep. Kevin McCarthy of elbowing him, we see that Trump's attempt to normalize political violence in this country is taking root. Mullin even goes on two channels to insist MORE such violence is a good thing, and makes a glowing reference to the 1856 nightmare when a Pro-Slavery Congressman nearly beat an Abolitionist Senator to death with a cane at his Senate desk.

Mullin is either a historical ignoramus, or a sadist who just indicated support for those who used violence to try to protect slavery.

B-BLOCK (33:25) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: The new manager of the New York Mets begins his tenure in the worst way possible: by invoking the New York Yankees. More accusations against Russell Brand. And billionaire CEO Jamie Dimon has decided who should be the next president. No, it's NOT "President Jamie Dimon" - because compared to who he has chosen, "President Jamie Dimon" would be a GOOD idea.

C-BLOCK (39:05) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Speaking of the Mets, and of slamming one's head against a wall, I just told this story the other day so it's time to tell it here: the day I found out, courtesy New York City's Number 7 Subway, why Mom used to say "don't run for a train, there'll always be another."

EPISODE 26: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN 9.6.22

ARREST TRUMP WHILE WE STILL CAN

A BLOCK (1:48) SPECIAL COMMENT: After the Rubber Stamp Judge he appointed has fabricated law to protect him from justice, Trump has again demanded that "they" overthrow the duly-elected government of the United States - 20 MONTHS TO THE DAY SINCE JANUARY 6TH (3:06) Arrest him NOW while we still can and before he sells the secrets he stole (4:39) Since we know he does not care if the next coup is violent or not, we must stop him NOW (6:05) "Judge" Cannon listened to Trump's "swirling allegation of bias" and used them as an excuse to issue a lawless ruling (8:55) We must act as if we had been invaded by a foreign nation with allies inside this country (9:05) There are six steps that can be taken: including impeaching Cannon, declaring the Federalist Society factory of treason as what it is: a Terrorist organization, search for more stolen documents at Bedminster and Trump Tower, double the number of 1/6 Committee hearings, have President Biden again give his Philadelphia speech (only this time with the gloves off) and ARREST. TRUMP. NOW. WHILE. WE. STILL. CAN.

B BLOCK (19:36) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Rufio (21:02) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: Trump's rally proves everything Biden said was true, and then some, plus the British have made a lookalike for Evil Tweety Bird their new Prime Minister (24:13) IN SPORTS: Nadal loses, Seal is there (under the name Seal Seal), Judge is poised to break Maris's record, the Oakland couple is sought, and Final Jeopardy is a sports question (28:45) WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Brianna Kellar, Jonathan Truly and Kristina "F it, I'll kill us all" Karamo vie for the honors.

C BLOCK (33:30) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: First the Republicans ran a 9/11 Snuff Film unannounced - on MSNBC - and I apologized to our viewers. Then the Republicans told Tom Brokaw: if you don't get Olbermann fired, McCain won't show up to the Presidential Debate YOU are moderating. It all goes down hill from there, and the end result was: I got $22,000,000. Thanks Tom!

Oh and ARREST. TRUMP. NOW. WHILE. WE. STILL. CAN.
