Today after the third win in a row for @umichfootball over @ohiostatefb 30-24 I had on the #podcast @nikkischwartz_ and my friend Milton a season ticket at #thebighouse since 1985.  37-3 last 3 years under #jimharbaugh the #wolverines play @hawkeyefootball in the @bigten #championshipgame next weekend and then the #cfp after that.  We don’t want a repeat of the @tcufootball game this year.  Agree with Milton #marvinharrisonjr is the real deal though I feel he could have helped out his #quarterback #kylemccord on that first INT.  Wouldn’t be surprised if the #buckeyes move on from Coach Day.  Let him go to @aggiefootball they have deep pockets. Talked #signstealing too which everyone is doing.  To think #michigan went 12-0 and had their coach suspended for six games is quite impressive.  Think that #harbaugh should stay in #annarbor and he would be a legend.  Same goes for @umichbball head coach #juwanhoward one of the #fabfive he’s had a rough start but give him time and the results will come.  Milton is also a season ticket for @umichhockey and we plan on getting to a #basketball & #hockey game this winter.  Milton will be back on once we get the #collegefootballplayoffs matchups.  Can’t wait.

    Slide Spots and Stolen Signals

    Slide Spots and Stolen Signals

This has been one of the weeks of all time in college football. First on the docket is Michigan's unfolding sign stealing scandal, masterminded by Connor Stalions. Obviously we have to talk about the bad spot on Christian Veilleux's first down slide late in the Wake Forest Game. But we're also not letting Frank Cignetti and the offensive line off the hook for their poor performances on Saturday. Last on the show is our Week 8 recap and our preview of a Week 9 full of Loser Leaves Town games.

Episode 8: Yes, Delivery Drivers EAT Your Food & Will Michigan Have to Pay for Its Sign-Stealing Scandal?

Another week, another Grubhub delivery driver eating YOUR food. Yes, this really happens! Demetria breaks down how often it occurs and how people don't seem to care, as long as they don't have to leave the house. Plus, acclaimed actress Emily Blunt goes viral after a 2012 video resurfaces, showing her fat-shaming a waitress during an interview. Is cinema 'dead'? Scorcese blames Avengers movies, but Demetria points to streaming and TikTok. Finally, Demetria tackles the latest on the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal.

Ep. 97 - Were We Too Stupid to Find Out How Phones Work?

The Yankees fought tooth and nail in court to keep "The Letter" sealed -- now it has been leaked and the MLB press uses it to remind everyone the Astros "cheated" to win the 2017 World Series. Or did they? Also this week -- Miguel Cabrera rapped his 3000th career this - who will be next? Did Hooks & Runs jinx Roki Sasaki? The Reds are awful, the A's home attendance is worse and the new Nicholas Cage film.

Episodes Mentioned: We first discussed Hecker's Hitters in Episode 75. Our thoughts on reforming the NFL's absurd overtime rules were presented in Episode 84.

Errata: Yadier Molina announced last Fall that 2022 would be his final MLB season. Robinson Cano needs more than 240 hits to reach 3,000.

    Check It Out:
Andrew: Nicholas Cage's new film, "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent"

Ep. 92 - The Post-Lockout Free Agency Cavalcade

The first week post lockout led to free agent signings galore with now former Astros Carlos Correa and Zach Greinke going to Minnesota and Kansas City respectively. The big names are off the board with Trevor Story heading to Boston, so for Astro fans, all hopes rest with the talented but inexperienced Jeremy Peña. Beyond that, players moving all over, including Freddie Freeman, Kenley Jensen and Kris Bryant.

MLB pick a number.  Any number.
Dwight Howard and Kyrie Irving maybe follow the WNBA's lead where they plan on using playing games with all 144 players in the same place as a platform for change.
NFL I don't see you playing in different stadiums and getting a season in happening this year.  College athletes at University of Texas and Michigan tested positive for Covid-19.  Good luck.

So the Yanks did sign stealing too in 2017.   Baseball survived the steroid era they will survive this if they ever play again.
So Ezekiel Elliott tested positive for Covid-19 and other unnamed Cowboys and Texans tested positive too.  We all want sports but not sure rushing back is a good idea right now in the U.S.
On that point athletes can choose to come back and play if they want.  An athlete's career is such a short window.  And to lose one season is a lot when you think most sports a career lasts between 3 to 5 years.  I don't know what to say since cases are spiking in some areas now.

Episode 69 - Straight Outta Crumlin! ft. Conor McGregor

We reach a milestone this week as your Sports Lordz are here with our 69th full episode of the show! This week we start things off by looking back at the fallout from the National Championship game with Odell Beckham Jr. making the headlines, a Superdome security guard’s precious tush, and Travis Etienne’s decision to return to Clemson for one more year. Then we dive deep into the Major League Baseball’s sign stealing scandal with three managers getting the boot, secret buzzer conspiracy theories and everyone playing the blame game. You can’t make this stuff up and we talk about all of it. We also say goodbye to Josh Donaldson as he leaves our Braves for greener pastures in Minnesota and welcome former villain Marcel Ozuna to the A. We then shift gears into NFL championship weekend and do a quick look ahead at the Superbowl where Jimmy Garoppolo’s 49ers will face off against Patrick Mahomes Chiefs, and add one of the best names to our list of football fun names. We then wrap up our opening segment with a look at the New York Knicks bad prize to a fan, Conor McGregor’s destruction of Cowboy Cerrone, and Coors Light’s awful new ad campaign. Later (58:06) we’re joined by former UFC Champ himself, Conor McGregor! The notorious Irishman tells us about his fight with Cowboy Cerrone, how he’s involved in the making of Proper Twelve Whiskey, his love of Morrisey and much, much more! The show ends with another knockout round of DABS (1:15:45)!

Astros and Red Sox Cheating Scandal

Astros and Red Sox Cheating Scandal

The Houston Astros have been caught red-handed. So have the Red Sox. Oh and they both cheated the year they won the World Series. And Alex Cora was on the coaching staff for both teams. In the most interesting thing to happen to baseball since the Cubs winning the World Series, the Astros and Red Sox have been caught stealing signs and are now paying the price. Today we discuss what the punishments are, if the MLB was harsh enough, and what does this mean for the Dodgers?
