    Episode #88 feat. Frank Carter

    Episode #88 feat. Frank Carter
Mental Health Struggles hit the best of us, including stacks of our favourite musicians, which is why we turn to their music as an avenue to help us feel better momentarily before we look at other professional options and one bloke who has been fighting his own battles and sharing those struggles with us through his music is Frank Carter of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, who joins the podcast this week to chat about his personal life and to pass on the important reassurance that there's always hope at the end of it all. Dark clouds pass and this is something we all need to take into account when going through rough patches.

Podcast host Browny also addresses Frank's inspirational "Girls Only" moshpit movement which he will be doing at every single show he performs at following the praise he received from fans when it made global headlines at Reading Festival back in August. He's also got a very important message for those who criticise the movement and you know what, we couldn't back him any more than what we already do.

We also take a look at last week's ARIAs Nominees and play New Music from Dream State, WAAX and Simple Plan, throwbacks from Clowns, Marmozets, Violent Soho, Royal Blood and heaps more...

Episode #77 feat. Andrea Skoumbri of The Beautiful Monument

Episode #77 feat. Andrea Skoumbri of The Beautiful Monument
We are bloody stoked to bring The Beautiful Monument back on the show this week to chat about their forthcoming album I'm The Reaper. The ladies are fast becoming hot property in Australia's heavy music scene with their blend of genre-crossing anthems and lyrically captivating songs you can't help but belt out. Shredmaster Andrea 'Andy' Skoumbri is this week's guest co-host and she's going into detail about their rise to fame, the struggles along the way (including parents who see a career in music as more of a hobby) and the hard-hitting, and emotionally heartbreaking story behind their latest single 'Reaper'.

But it's not all emotional, podcast host Browny also takes a look back one of the biggest moments the band had this year, when they played both Sydney and Melbourne Download Festival and some of the antics that happened at those shows.

There's also New Music from Boston Manor feat. John Floreani, Make Way For Man, Hellions, Pridelands, Bad/Love feat. Marcus Bridge, Headstrong and Make Them Suffer, throwbacks from Simple Plan, The Ghost Inside, Stand Atlantic + heaps more!

Episode #31 feat. Geoff Rickly of Thursday

Episode #31 feat. Geoff Rickly of Thursday

At one stage in your life, you've no doubt had an emo phase, which came in many different ways and varieties, whether it be the emotional connection you had to the song about your ex leaving you or the one about your Dad taking off without saying goodbye or the one about loving someone so much it makes you cry... the list goes on but the one things these songs and bands had in common was they were inspired or conceived following the rise to fame of bands like Thursday, who were the pioneers of writing songs about emotions with whiney vocals, scathing screams and heavy riffs. That's why we're stoked (but not too stoked) to reveal this week's co-host on Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall is one of the giants who started it all, Geoff Rickly.

Join your podcast host Browny as he delves into the band's past and finds out if Geoff ever listened to that band who claimed he was their inspiration or if he thinks listening to emo bands/musicians is some sort of band/genre masturbation. He also addresses how getting screwed over by the music industry helped him to become a better person, and business owner with Collect Records when he teamed up with old mate "Pharma Bro" Martin Shkreli and how certain clauses always looked out for the best interests of the bands on the roster, surrounding all the drama Shkreli accumulated over the years.

Plus there's plenty of emo anthems that'll make you wanna pull the guyliner out of retirement including My Chemical Romance, The Used, Say Anything, The Beautiful Monument, Hawthorne Heights, Breaking Benjamin and The Rasmus to name a few + New Music from Parkway Drive and High Tension.
