381 - Singin' in the Rain

381 - Singin' in the Rain

Today we’re talking about Singin’ in the Rain, widely regarded as the greatest musical of all time. This was a first-time watch for both of us so we discuss why we’ve been reticent about musicals in the past, which dance sequences were our favorites, and recap how troubled this production truly was behind the scenes.

Also, why we hate Goldfish cartons shrinking. (Recorded September 10th, 2023.)

    Episode 71

This week we remember John Candy’s brilliant work, we talk The Mandalorian's penultimate episode, Ted Lasso talk, Ray watched Singing in the Rain from 1952 and the time travel/rom-com When We First Met (2018) on Netflix, Kevin gives his reaction to the new movie Air and we continue our talk on the Super Mario Bros movie taking over the world

Round 73 - Musicals From Our Childhood

Round 73 - Musicals From Our Childhood

This week the girls take aim at... Musicals From Our Childhood...

    Bianca
opened the episode with what is a musical film and reeled off a few from our childhood, being the decades of the '80s and '90s. Then she openly and unabashedly declared Grease 2 is better than Grease 1.

Sarah is a massive musical film lover and shared a few of her favorites; Singing the Rain, Kiss Me Kate, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, and GIGI.

Amy finished us all off with her most favorite musical film (because she forgot about Blues Brothers and Annie), the Disney classic Mary Poppins.

We say it every week, however, we really want to hear from our listeners. If you have a topic you want us to take aim at, please hit us up at the links below:

    Singing In The Rain

    Singing In The Rain

It's another music focused episode!  First we take a look at the new documentary film 'Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage' and what you can expect and not expect from it (03:18).  Then Sean is joined by Leanne and Wade to talk about a much lighter subject, Gene Kelley and Stanley Donen's classic musical 'Singing in the Rain' (10:30).
