In this new series, we are going to look at common lies that Christians believe and the truth that the Bible offers to counter them. 

This week SM Director, Nick Mercer, spoke about the lie many of us believe: God just wants me to be happy.  We see that the Bible does not tell us to pursue happiness but to live in the real joy that comes from living and believing in the real person of Jesus Christ.

This week we moved on in our Unlikely Heroes Series to Daniel! Amanda spoke from Daniel 4:28-47 and looked at how God was at work restoring in and through his servant Daniel and how we can be on the lookout for where God is calling us to restore in our own lives.

Our next SM Night Series is called Unlikely Heroes, where we will be looking at the call of some of the most recognized names in our faith and how upon further examination, we can learn some lessons as we seek to discern where and how God is calling us. This week, Nick looked at Moses in Exodus 4.

In the final week of our Under Construction series this week, SM Associate Amanda Hansford spoke from Galatians 5 as we looked at the Fruits of the Spirit and how we can begin to work them into our lives consistently.

To kick off the new school year, Nick Mercer spoke from John 15:1-11 as we began a new series called "All In, All The Time" and over the next few weeks, we will study that we need to be Committed, Consistent, and we need to do those things in Community!

Welcome back to Summer Nights, our weekly SM night for the summertime for all Rising 6th -12th graders! This week, (7.21.22) Luke Clark talked about the Parable of the Sower from Matthew 13:1-9 and looked at how we are like the 4 different places that the seed landed on, but if we Focus on our Faith, Find Friends along the way, and Face our Fears we can be like the good soil and our relationship with Jesus can grow!   

We are taking a break for the rest of the summer but will be back in the fall!

Welcome back to Summer Nights, our weekly SM night for the summertime for all Rising 6th -12th graders! This week, (7.14.22), Brett Harlow talked about the Pharisee and the Tax Collector from Luke 18:9-14 and how it was their similarity, not their differences that Jesus was drawing our attention to.  Join us next week for our LAST summer nights! We'll be grilling out, playing yard games, and enjoying one last time together before we take a break for the rest of the summer.

This summer we will be looking at Parables and for the first one, Nick talked about the purpose of parables and what we need to know as we head into a summer of studying them!
