Episode 22: Good Soup ft. Sharday

We're back for season 3 bb!

Well, partially back. A lot has happened in both of our lives since we wrapped season 2. But the show must go on! So here is our first episode back with our first fill in guest!

We talked about the 90’s kids spooky Nickelodeon classic Are You Afraid of the Dark. We got  some insight to how Nickelodeon was in the early-mid 90’s and we had many questions about the show and specifically Dr. Vink’s good soup.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!!

#63 - August 1992 - SNICK, Super Mario Kart, & Achy Breaky Heart

Join Andrew and Brandon as they journey back to August 1992, where after the break they discuss how to pronounce Arianna Grande’s name. They start by talking all things SNICK (Saturday Night Nickelodeon) and move on to Are You Afraid of the Dark? and talk alumni of the Midnight Society who have had bigger acting careers. Next they talk about Super Mario Kart for the SNES and Brandon brings up his recent defeats in Mario Kart 8 to his nephew and in Mario Kart 64 to Janell of The True North Collective Podcast. Finally, Brandon reads the lyrics to his least favorite country song, Achy Breaky Heart.

**Disclaimer: While editing, Brandon discovered that recently Demi Lovato has come out as non-binary and wishes their fans to identify them with the they/them pronouns. As we are not Demi Lovato fans, we did not know this at the time of recording and have misgendered them in this episode. Apologies to Demi Lovato, their fans, and anyone else hurt by our ignorance.

Animation Remakes and Sheryl Crow with Skeleton Blood (@Skeleton_Blood_)

Animation Remakes and Sheryl Crow with Skeleton Blood (@Skeleton_Blood_)

This week, we welcome Skeleton Blood (@SKELETON_BLOOD_) to talk about remakes in animation and why and how there are no new ideas. We also discuss how every generation has its own Van Wilder, Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place, elementary school lunch conspiracy theories and so much more. Plus, Chid and Skelly B figure out Sigh's dirty secret and the REAL reason for his window plugs (it involves John Wayne Gacy). Someone conversation drifts into AVATAR and the Lion King and then Chid pops the question--WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 5 SHERYL CROW SONGS? Apparently BugMane himself asked her a similar question just days before--is Chid the BugMane? Then they play new game, "Eric Clapton or Kid Rock?" and immediately follow it with fan favorite game, "People Sheryl Crow has dated."
