Join Krystal and Lillie as they lose their minds over finding out who The Somerton Man is and also, wizard lizards.
After seven decades the identity of the mysterious "Somerton Man" has been solved!! We discuss the new findings and in true Dawn of Mantis style, Joe closes out this short episode with a totally unrelated story!
Redbeard SoundAfter decades of research, Derek Abbott believes the man was a Melbourne-born electrical engineer.
Also known as the Tamam Shud case but for most of us we know it as the Somerton Man from Australia who was found dead on Somerton Beach on December 1st 1948.
With recent events, this man was finally identified and the case was partially solved.
They now know the identity of this man.
With so many twists and turns and the amount of intrigue since it first came to light in 1948, I was surprised it had remained unsolved for all these years but now that the case is solved, it gives us a better understanding of this man and who he was.
We want to just say, one more time a huge sorry to Michelle for butchering names and places.

This is one of those weeks where Bang On truly has it all.
Myf and Zan start with a 600kg sun-loving walrus, and end with vagina perfume.
In between, we wrap the week that was, including the solving of the mysterious Somerton Man (Zan wants to rewind to when he was a mystery). A teaser for the new Black Panther movie has us in a tizz, particularly cos one of our faves is in it. And a reflection on the massive pile on to Anne Hathaway in the noughties is reframed through a new generationâs viewpoint.
Myf is loving fellow mad dawg Miriam Margolyes new show, and Zan is an absolute wreck after seeing Joni Mitchell return to the live stage

Bang On is an ABC podcast, produced by Double J. It is recorded on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay our respects to elders past and present. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians and Traditional Custodians of the land where we live, work, and learn.
Who doesn't love a good unsolved mystery? While we couldn't get Robert Stack on the show (RIP) we tried to channel his inner spookiness as we dove deep into some of the world's greatest unsolved mysteries. We'll chat about the Lady of the Dunes and her claim to fame in one of America's favorite films, mysterious lights that appeared over Montreal and the devil's visit to Dover. There's too many unsolved mysteries for our liking, but we're more than happy to share how spooky the world is with all of you. We'll be taking a one week hiatus as Elise hits the road and Halee hugs a life-size Mickey Mouse, but we'll be back spookier than ever on 4/29. Happy Haunting!
